My idea was to recreate the original version 1973-74 version of Statis Pro Hockey. That version had no individual ratings for defense, relying on the goalie ratings only. For me, it was a lot of fun. So, using notes I took from that original game, info gathered throughout the years I took a stab at it. I like the result. As with the original game there are no defensive ratings so you can add if you wish. For me, the goalie ratings are sufficient. I also came up with a formula to normalize teams. A great big shout out to Dave P for his work on Statis Pro hockey that he shared on this site!! I absolutely added the info he provided to my other notes to come up with this.
