Box Seat Baseball board game "Helper" Excel program that rolls the dice and generates random number cards, including all the optional Ballpark effects/peculiarities as featured in the latest BSB board game rules.
This program is similar to other tools created for Replay, APBA, etc., although the intent here is not to automate the game - Tom and Co. have already done that with their computer version. This simply replaces the dice rolling and card flipping that are a crucial (and fun) part of the
board game, but are not always practical if you're trying to keep the dice noise down, in a hotel, etc.
The Helper program also enables you to manually record pre-game rolls for weather, wind, etc. The results of these rolls should be cross-referenced with the appropriate chart or ballpark card and entered onto your BSB
scoresheet.
To run the program, you need Microsoft Excel with the Analysis Toolpack installed. To roll the dice or flip a card, simply hit the F9 button on your keyboard.
