Optional Advanced Rules for stealing:
Attempt to get a good leadoff by rolling the 0-5 white dice. If the roll is less than or equal to the runner rating, then a good leadoff has been gained.
If the roll is greater than the base runner rating of the would be base stealer, then a good lead has not been gained. If it is a bad lead, the runner cannot attempt a steal.
If a good lead is obtained, the pitcher rolls the red and green defensive dice, adding the dice results together. If the combined dice result equals one of the pitcher's error ratings (1, 2, 3, or 4) then a throw to the base has been not been made. If the pitcher has a number 5 in his error rating, and the combined total is a 5, then the throw to the base is an error.
However, if the combined dice result is not equal to one of the pitcher's error ratings, then a throw to the base has been made. When a throw to the base is made, the runner now dives back, using the red and green dice, and combining the total. If the combined total exceeds the runner rating, the runner has been thrown out. If the combined total is less than or equal to the runner rating, the runner has successfully dove back to the base. A runner that successfully dives back to the base cannot attempt to steal again while the current batter is batting.
After obtaining a good lead, the runner must steal. Before stealing modify the runner rating by the catcher's defensive rating, as well as the stadium running rating, (if that rule is being used), and then roll and consult the appropriate steal chart.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the Gibson vs. Seaver matchup(s) in the Cards/Mets series.
