Downey Games is proud to announce the release of the Big Hits and 2012 Presidential Primary set for Controlled Chaos, the Demolition Derby Game.
Looking to add even more excitement and drama to your Controlled Chaos Demolition Derbies? Well, look no further. The CCDD Big Hits Expansion introduces an additional 16 unique FAC that provide more damaging hits, an additional Chaos! check, and even a few automatic "Out" results. When these FAC are doubled and added to your existing FAC, your demolition derbies will see more mayhem and carnage while reducing the amount of time it takes to replay a derby. While the expansion FAC introduces two to five times the amount of damage a normal FAC has, each driver's ratings and skills continue to play a large role in deciding who wins and loses a derby.
No additional rules are included in the expansion, only the additional FAC.
As a special bonus, we have also included a 2012 Presidential Primary card set. This expansion adds 24 Presidential candidate drivers to your tabletop, for smashing good fun. Why let the voters decide? Put them in jalopies and let them battle it out demolition derby style! This set includes those candidates that you know, like Romney and Obama, as well as minor candidates that you may not know.

The Printed set contains the aforementioned 24 drivers on die-cut cards, as well as die-cut FACs for the Big Hits Expansion. You can also include the Drivers with the Powder Puff Drivers Expansion, International Expansion and the base game Drivers to expand your universe.

Why call it Controlled Chaos? Because that is exactly what a demolition derby is. Eight to sixteen specially prepared cars are locked into a bull ring and are allowed to ram, slam, crash, and smash one another until there is only one car left running. It is not quite anything goes though as there are rules in place for driver safety and fair play. Including very strict car preparation guidelines and restrictions to follow before entering a car. Once inside the bull ring, drivers must avoid hitting the driver door or risk being disqualified.
Like any form of competition, those who are more talented, try harder, have more experience, and are just plain lucky will ascend to the top. There will always be the lazy drivers who simply enter the ring and mindlessly hit everything in sight. These drivers won't last long and won't make it to the winner's circle. There is definite skill involved in the preparation and driving of a demolition derby car.
Fortunately we can recreate all the subtleties and hard hitting action with Controlled Chaos Demolition Derby. Watch driver's get blindsided, have their engines stall, deliver bone rattling hits that damage their own cars as much as their opponent's. The exclusive Chaos deck gives results ranging from locked bumpers to roll overs along with a built-in injury system that provides for a driver to not only be shaken up, but possibly severely injured and miss months of action!
