We have released the 2012 All-Time Great ratings updates for Ultra Quick Boxing.

From Jeff Downey, "This may very well be the last ratings update I'm able to do for UQ and Main Event Boxing, so I wanted to make it special. All told, there are now over 20,000 All-Time great fighters for both games. I have included all of the requests over the years, guys from the Rocky movies, etc. I have also tweaked the ratings of previously released fighters for greater realism. This is a massive update"

The E-Book versions are available here: http://www.downeygames.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=5_10

The Printed Year Books are available here: http://www.downeygames.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_4

Is he included or did i overlook him?
Thanks

Looks like these fighters are also missing in the Main Event ATG Heavyweights as well.

We are looking into why these fighters aren't displayed, as they are in the Master. Meanwhile, here are the ratings for Ultra Quick.

Holyfield 3665 A
Spinks 3490 B

Thank you very much for your reply, it looks like Ezzard Charles and a few
others may be missing form the ATG Heavies list as well. I will check again.
Thanks

I really want to get this, but not if a bunch of usual heavyweights are in the game. Will this be fixed?

I purchased All-Time Greats 1 for Main Event yesterday. I assume there are no boxers missing from that set. I was thinking about purchasing the Heavyweight set as well. From the boxers you have listed that are missing, they seem to be Heavyweights that were actually better fighters as Cruiserweights or Light Heavies. Maybe the Heavyweights that are also in other sets are the ones that got left out. ???

Good point Ralphieboy .. I didn't notice that. They are working on the missing Fighter issue at Downey Games and hopefully they will send an update soon. Though Charles and Holyfield may have been better in their former Weight Class they sure made an impact in the Heavyweight Division.

I purchased all of the Main Event ratings last weekend as soon as I saw that they became available. In addition to a bunch of new boxers being added the majority of the all time greats look to have been re-rated. The new ratings look much better than the old ones, however as a few people have already noted I found that there were some curious omissions.

It appears, at least on my copies, that many/most of the boxers who fought in more than one division are only rated in their original weight class.

Here are some of the boxers who were rated in multiple divisions in the 2007 ratings who I noticed were missing from the latest ratings:

HW: Evander Holyfield, Michael Spinks, Michael Moorer, Ezzard Charles, Tommy Burns

CW, James Toney

LHW: Roy Jones, Bob Fitzsimmons

MW, Carmen Basilio, Thomas Hearns, SR Leonard, Emile Griffith, (De La Hoya's mw rating looks weird)

WW, Duran, Mayweather, Pernell Whitaker

LW, Mayweather, Arguello, Chavez,

There's others too, but these are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

I originally thought that maybe the decision was made to only rate guys in the division where they were at their best, but seeing guys who were previously rated missing and guys like Roy Jones and James Toney rated at HW when Evander Holyfield wasn't had me puzzled.

bcannon4, I truly agree .. I love the new ratings! It really balances out a lot of
my results. I may have to wait for the missing fighter issue to be resolved before I try buying the other Main Event releases. Then again, I may give it a try and rate the missing fighters myself, but I believe this will be resolved soon. This is a great game as well as all Downey Games!
