I'd like to rate some courses for SSG.
I've found the Course Designer files in the Download Section here, but I have not yet been able to find any information on specific PGA courses or other courses that would allow me to rate them for play with SSG.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?
I think it would be great to rate and share some courses.
Any help in rating courses - would welcome that, too.
Thanks in advance - |

| Try to Google the name of the specific tournament whose course you want to rate. If that fails, consider calling the PGA. Look under "Contact" on the PGA website. |

Thanks a lot!
I actually found the site you posted last night just by finally coming up with the correct word combo for my search.
I have spent about an hour tonight looking over the Course Designer after inputting the raw data for the Hyundai tournament and I can't make head or tails out of it.
Have you worked with the Course Designer?
Thanks again - |

I'll enter the scores in the blue fields for each hole.
I then cannot decipher the results in the green fields or the results in the yellow fields to know how to actually fill out the Course Template.
I am probably not understanding something very basic.
Math wasn't/isn't my strong suit - I have a feeling the results in the green and yellow fields need to be converted into something else.
Thanks for the help - |

You're doing it correctly so far (typing the birds, pars, bogeys, etc. into the blue chart). The results in the green chart tell you how many results (out of the 36 possible 2-sided dice results) you have to use.
For example, let's say you have 12 results for a birdie. That means you must find a total of 12 results for birdies. You could use 6,8, and 11. See the chart below.
Dice Frequency
2 1
3 2
4 3
5 4
6 5
7 6
8 5
9 4
10 3
11 2
12 1 |

A-ha!
Thank you very much for explaining that to me.
I understand how to read the green chart now and how to work out the combinations of dice rolls on the hole chart.
The yellow X chart is read and worked out in the same manner then, right? |
