How does everyone handle it when a team after adjustments and dice roll ends up with a negative score? I add points to the team below zero to get to zero and the same amount to the other time so difference is still the same.

This was the gameco's answer from an older thread:

"If you have a negative final score, roll a single 10-sided die. For odd rolls treat this as a shutout (0). For even rolls, the team has scored 3 points. If the 3 point score is more than the opponent, credit the opponent with 6 points. This rule may seem odd, but it is done to limit the shutouts to a realistic level."

The odd/even die roll is what I do as mentioned above.
Odd number = 0 points
Even number = 3 points

I handle it a bit different. I give the losing team a 0 and the winning team I add the number of points that the losing team was given to reach 0.

The game end 21 to -7. I give both teams 7 making the final score 28 - 0

The game ends 23 to -4. I gave both teams a 4 making the final 27 - 0.
