Hello all!
New member to this forum but I'm pretty sure I was on the tabletop-sports email list about ten years ago. I'm a loooong time sports board gamer. I got my start with Ethan Allen All-Star Baseball - the spinner game - when I was 10. Since them I've played tons of APBA (Baseball, Football, Horse Racing, Golf, Basket), a bit of Strat, Vince Lombardi Football, Statis Pro Baseball, NFL Strategy and too many more to list. I've also been in a home brew baseball game league for twenty years replaying baseball history. I got my franchise in 1904 and we're now up to 1970. Website at http://baseballreplay.tripod.com/. My team is the White Roses. They were York PA's minor league team at one time. Brooks Robinson played for them.
Also I am a game designer. I created my first game in elementary school - baseball with a dice. First roll 1 and 2 are hits, 3-6 are outs. If you rolled a 1, roll again and odd number was single, even number double. Roll a two and if the next roll was an odd number it's a triple, even was a home run. Not exactly statistically pure but not bad for a ten year old!
I've written other games since then including a basketball game for the TRS-80 and a visual basic Cricket game http://www.cricketweb.net/cricketgames/shareware/rsctestcricket/index.php It was inspired by a visit to my brother in England.
Now I'm writing internet sports simulations that I think are very much in the spirit of the board games discussed here. So far I've written Be The Coach Basketball, Football War Room, Manly Cup Hockey and Jump Serve Volleyball. Working on Mulligan Tour Golf right now. You can check them out at www.b1231.com Feedback is appreciated.
This looks like a great forum. Nothing I like better than talking roller derby and tractor pull simulations!

| If anyone (besides me) clicks on the cricket link and gets a 'page not found' error, remove the period at the end of the URL. |

| I'm not sure how well the cricket game will run. It was written for Windows 3.1. Funny thing about that game is that I had never played or seen cricket when I wrote it. Just read about it. |
