My friends at APBA passed along the following news for February. Take note of the sale going on with the Baseball, Football and Hockey board games. If you haven't tried the "new" games, now is a great time to do so. I have the revised baseball game, and I personally think it's the best chart book they've produced. This size is much better for table space, and the results are easier for my eyes. I'll give my review of the "new" football and hockey offerings soon, as I plan to take advantage of the sale myself.
Also note that APBA has sent along the following official card files for the dedicated community we have here at tabletop-sports.com. You can find the 2008 College Football All-Stars, the 2009 MLB All-Stars, the 2009 Hockey All-Stars and the 2010 Olympic Hockey teams for the US and Canada in the download section. The files will be listed in the "Official APBA Card Files" category for each sport. As the year progresses, you'll see more of these official offerings made available to tabletop-sports.com users.
If you do take advantage of thier sale, be sure to tell them that you heard about it here.
Here is the full APBA Newsletter release:
1. With the Winter Olympics coming to a close and the US and Canada are battling it out for Ice Hockey medals (as of this email) why not get your hockey fix and take this opportunity to try the APBA Pro Hockey Board Game. Until next Friday, March 5th, order APBA Pro Hockey for only $17! That's a $5 savings. So what are you waiting for, this is one power play you're sure to score on!
While we're at it, why just have a special on Hockey? Now until March 5th, we're offering $5 off each of the board games. That's right order Football, Baseball or Hockey and receive $5 off. Also for this limited time, if you order all 3 as a bundle, get them for only $45! That's right, save $21! To receive the bundle price you must enter Games6 into the coupon code when ordering online.
2. Don't forget to sign up for the 2010 APBA Convention and Tournament! This past year we had 100 paid attendees! We'd like to at least match that or surpass in 2010. Sign up and join this fantastic weekend of APBA camaraderie. This weekend long APBA family reunion is centered around the APBA basic game baseball tournament. The agenda is very loose and non-restrictive. A location is merely established to allow a pilgrimage to APBA bliss for an entire weekend. This event has been a catalyst to wonderful friendships and new APBA contacts for many. Come meet other APBA enthusiasts like you and indulge in your passion! For more information regarding this summers event visit us at www.APBAgames.com
3. We're now taking pre-orders for the Baseball All-Time Stars vol. II set! That's right, BATS is back and better than ever. Our BATS set was one of the more popular sets that we've released here at APBA and it's back and updated by popular demand. This set includes 26 teams with 31 players per team. The rosters for these franchises include some of their greatest players each carded for their best season with the club. The set is due to release within the next week or so - $50
4. Don't forget about our apparel store! Using a 3rd party company which specializes in custom made apparel and novelty items, APBA now offers such items as Tshirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, clocks, bumper stickers and more! There are clothing items and sizes available from infants, to kids, juniors, women and men. The sizes range up to women plus sizes and men sizes up to 4x! Now you have no excuse not show off your APBA pride! Visit the link from our home page to begin shopping today! (All items ordered must follow the payment and return policies of Cafe Press. These items are not ordered through APBA)
5. We are expecting potential bad weather again on the east coast. This has been a record setting winter for this area. The amount of snow we've received as been incredible. Over the next 24/48 hours we could potentially receive anywhere from another 6 to 15 inches of snow. This has the potential to interrupt our normal business activity. We ask that if this is the case that you please understand and have patience with us as we assure the safety and welfare of our employees. The potential is there for late opening, early closing or potentially a full closure all together. We'll make an announcement on our message boards and via Facebook should any of the above occur.
For more information on anything listed in this newsletter, please visit our website at www.APBAgames.com or call us toll free at 1-800-334-2722. As always, thank you for being part of the APBA family!
Visit our website and check out our product release schedule for the next 18 months! ***Please note that this only lists card set releases and does not include software and game releases*** www.apbagames.com As you'll see we're continuing to crank out the products that you've asked for. We hope to release even more than what you'll see listed. Take a sneak preview of what's in store for your enjoyment!
Keep posted for the latest happenings here at APBA! |

| I'm hoping APBA players can help me, I've never played the baseball game but someone gave me a set of 1981 cards. Would the cards be compatible with the set that is on sale? If so, I may purchase it and give it a try - I am thinking about trying the APBA Hockey game out. |

the APBA baseball cards from 1981 are compatible with the new baseball game, the main changes with the new game is they have started printing player statistics on the player cards, (big improvement in my opinion) and have reduced the size of the results charts and rules to a single spiral notebook making it much easier to play.
APBAGames.com has a FAQ and downloads section has updates for individual seasons of cards.
