STATIS PRO CUSTOM CARD DATA
----------------------------
The Superbowl Teams: SB 1-37
----------------------------
by Lee Harris, Jan 2003

This data created by copying the stats from Superbowl.com and putting it through my own custom card spreadsheet which does all the calculations for you.

The Excel file contains data for every Superbowl Team [winning and losing] up to the current year, making 74 teams in total. Obviously some of the stats for earlier teams is not as complete as the more recent games so bear that in mind. I also forgot to adjust the sack total for teams that played with the 14 game schedule. Those teams you can just add 2 to their QB sack range. Maybe I will fix this at some stage in the future.

The only thing you have to do is work out how to display the data since it is not set up in a card format for obvious reasons but in a spreadsheet. You can use the AutoFilter boxes at the top of most pages to show eg, your own team, or a specific year as well as top 10 teams or players in various categories. You can either keep this on screen as you play, or print it off how you like and set it up in your preferred format. I am quite happy to have my data on a single A4 sheet as a table, and just use tokens on the display to show where players actually are, and refer to the table whenever I need data. This is cool for face to face play since it hides your players stats from your opponent, so they need to either have NFL knowledge or work out your gameplan!

Ah, I also forgot that you have to either manually assign the values for tackles, pass rush and pass defense to your defensive players if you want complete accuracy. Ditto for offensive line blocking and pass blocking. I usually just assign offensive line numbers wherever since Offensive Line players don't really need to figure in the game stats. For defensive players I usually put the best pass rushers to the outside, best tacklers inside and best pass defenders at cornerback but if you know the teams well you can probably make a better job manually assigning values. I've included as much stats as possible in the sheet so you can see for example who is the best tackler on the team (and give him the best Tackles value).

The Data

Team - shows fumble adjustments, offensive line blocking, big plays, tackling, pass defense etc, this data is either a Team Specific Stat, or requires manual assignment between your players (eg the blocking and tackling)

Position Players - sheets for QB,WR,TE,RB,K,P,KR and PR. Note that this is the season data from their superbowl year and does not include post season play. I also included tabs for QB rushing, RB receiving and WR rushing.

Stats - tabs showing team offense and defense in various scenarios, all the relevant info is actually summarised on the first "Team" tab so these sections are just for reference

Everything shaded in grey should be the data that forms the actual players and teams cards.

So, here's to your Superbowl Re-Runs using Statis Pro football. I hope you enjoy the stats and have fun reliving those Superbowl moments all over again

cheers
