WCCW Results (Circa Mid 80's) - The Sportatorium, Dallas, TX. Att: 3,419.

Announcers: Bill Mercer & Sunshine
Ring Announcer: Marc Lowrance
Referees: Marvin Jones, Bronco Lubich & Rick Hazzard

1.Private Terry Daniels defeated “Pretty Young Thing” Koko B. Ware (w/ Norvel Austin) by disqualification in our opening contest at 5:29. Proudly waving Old Glory, Daniels entered the ring to “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and was rewarding with loud cheers and bonus points from the fans. The best thing that Koko had going for him was a roll on his Cheating Modifier and the frequent interference of his tag team partner Norvell Austin. Some careless showboating by Ware would ultimately lead to the finish. Koko was playing to the crowd when the Private snuck up from behind and caught him in a Bridging Belly to Back Suplex. Austin quickly raced into the ring and broke up the pin with a stomp to Daniel’s back to draw the DQ.

2. Matt Borne (w/ Percy Pringle III) over Jerry Allen at 3:16. Borne, who is one half of the Texas Tag Team Champions along with “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer, wasted no time in getting the jump on his opponent. Allen was met with a Double Axe Handle to the back while he was climbing through the ropes for Marc Lowrances’s match introductions. Borne never relinquished control and capped off this one-sided bout with a Seated Splash from the top rope to put Allen away.

3. Chief Mark Youngblood lost to Crusher Yurkoff (aka Bam Bam Bigelow) at 8:29. Youngblood was seen conferring with his brother Chris backstage prior to the match. Apparently he received some good advice from his younger sibling. Youngblood used his speed and aerial prowess to great effect and kept his much larger opponent on the defensive. A well placed Drop Kick to the kisser sent Yurkoff crashing into Referee Rick Hazzard who tumbled to the mat. The Chief quickly pounced on his foe for a cover but the dazed official was unable to count the pin. Youngblood was helping Hazzard get back to his feet when he was rolled up from behind by Yurkoff for the pin.

4.Mike Von Erich beat Killer Tim Brooks by DQ at 7:06. Brooks was in a particularly ornery mood this evening and drew big time heat with an obscene hand gesture during his entrance. It was obvious from the start that the Killer was throwing the rule book out the window and taking his chances with Referee Marvin Jones. Brooks was indeed on the verge of disqualification throughout the bout, but went too far when he wrapped his chain around Mike’s throat to choke him out in the corner. Jones immediately called for the bell and awarded the contest to Von Erich.

5. “The Handsome Half Breed from Highland Park” Gino Hernandez and his partner Jake “The Snake” Roberts (w/ Nicola Roberts) defeated the duo of Al Madril and Jose Lothario in tag team action at 9:21. While she behaved herself for the most part during the match, Nicola played a pivotal role in her team’s victory. The femme fatale slipped Gino some brass knucks during a four man free-for-all in the ring which the Handsome Half Breed quickly employed to KO Lothario with a loaded punch. Referee Bronco Lubich, who was busy escorting Al Madril back to his corner, turned to find Gino making the cover and counted the pin. Sunshine bolted from the announcer’s table to inform Bronco of the shenanigans, but was unsuccessful in changing the official’s decision. Nicola had a good laugh as she beat a hasty retreat to the back with her tag team.

6. Texas TV Title Match. “Crippler” Rip Oliver (w/ Jim Cornette) was disqualified in his bid to unseat Brian Adias as the television champion. While Cornette proved to be a distracting presence for Adias, the challenger was unable to capitalize on his manager’s interference to win the title. The Crippler did come close on several occasions, though. Oliver stunned the champion with a taped thumb jab to the throat, but Referee Rick Hazzard was caught out of position and late in making the count. The extra second or two may have been the difference in helping Adias to kick out. The frustrated challenger ended up tossing Adias over the top rope to draw the DQ at 14:48.

7. Iceman King Parsons beat “Maniac” Mark Lewin (w/ “Playboy” Gary Hart) in the Main Event. Lewin and Hart cut a brilliant promo with Bill Mercer before the match to give the Maniac extra heel points to work with. The bonus allowed Lewin to carry the battle to the popular Iceman, especially once the action moved OOR. The Maniac inflicted a great deal of punishment on Parsons with a smash to the barricade railing and a Body Slam on the floor, but got himself disqualified when he ran the Iceman head-first into the ring post. Your winner via DQ at 12:17 – a battered and bruised Iceman King Parsons.

World Class Results (Circa Mid 80's) - Harlington Sports Center, Harlington, TX. Att: 2,949.

Announcers: Bill Mercer & Fritz Von Erich
Ring Announcer: Stella Mae French
Referees: Ralph Pulley, Danny Pleches & Dick Raines

1. Kelly Kiniski over Bob “The Cat” Bradley in the opener at 5:39. Kiniski was severely reprimanded by Referee Ralph Pulley after his foreign object was confiscated by the official during the pre-match pat down. Undaunted, Kiniski continued with his rule breaking tactics and managed to gain the pinfall with both feet on the ropes for leverage after Bradley ran full steam into a raised knee on a corner charge.

2. Buck “Rock & Roll” Zumhoffe (w/ Boombox) pinned Frankie “The Thumper” Lancaster at 3:19. Both men received extra points to work with after rolling on their respective modifiers. (Zumhoffe for Technical skills and Lancaster for Cheating). Buck also received a bonus for signing autographs during his ring entrance. Zumhoffe's Reverse Body Drop off the 2nd rope put Frankie’s shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3.

3. Mike Von Erich defeated “Rock & Roll RPM” Mike Davis at 5:18. Never at a loss for words, Davis got into a heated confrontation with Fritz Von Erich at ringside prior to the opening bell. Fritz’ presence at the announcers’ table would prove to be an ongoing source of distraction for the RPM throughout the contest. Davis was rolled up from behind by Mike for the three count during yet another word of words with the Von Erich patriarch.

4. The Texas Tag Team Champions “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer & “Maniac” Matt Borne (w/ Percy Pringle III) beat the Batten Twins (Brad & Bart) in a non-title match at 10:57. The champions were able to take advantage of some timely manager interference to pull out a victory. While Pringle distracted Referee Ralph Pulley, Buzz Sawyer wrapped his dog chain around his fist and laid out Bart Batten with a smash to the chops. Borne then leapt off the top rope with a Seated Splash to the KO’d Batten’s chest to score the winning pinfall.

5. “Cowboy” Scott Casey (w/ Sunshine) over Killer Khan (w/ “Playboy” Gary Hart) via DQ at 8:40. Khan added to his points total by chasing Stella Mae French from the ring before she could complete the match introductions. Hart’s Mongolian Monster went on to dominate the action – especially OOR – but got himself disqualified by Referee Danny Pleches after running the Cowboy head-first into the ring post.

6. Popular South African Steve Simpson was showered with hugs and kisses by adoring female fans during his ring entrance. The warm reception gave him extra points against his unorthodox opponent the Missing Link. In an unusual turn of events, Simpson was caught holding a foreign object by Referee Dick Raines after he had pried it from his foe’s grasp. Raines wasted no time in calling for the bell and awarded the match to the Missing Link at 11:58.

7. There was no winner in the Main Event bout pitting “Ravishing” Rick Rude (w/ Percy Pringle III) against the Dingo (and soon to be WWF Ultimate) Warrior. Things took a turn in the Dingo’s favor when Referee Ralph Pulley ordered Percy Pringle to the back after the devious manager had interfered one time too many during the action. To his credit, Rude persevered without his corner man and nearly stole a victory with a Small Package and a handful of tights. Both men were eventually DQ’d when they simultaneously tossed Pulley OOR after the official intervened and tried to break up a prolonged slugfest. The time of the match was 13:43.

4. The Mountie (w/ stun gun and Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart) over Outback Jack from Humpty Doo, Australia by DQ at 6:03. With Referee Earl Hebner knocked down in the action, the Mountie reached for his stun gun but Outback Jack beat him to the punch and bopped the Royal Canadian policeman in the head with his boomerang. Unfortunately for the big Aussie, Earl Hebner saw the infraction and called for the bell. Prior to the match, the Mountie drew tremendous heat from the crowd during his entrance earning him several bonus points.

5. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake thought he had the match won when he connected with his High Knee Smash off the ropes on Bad News Brown, but the momentum of the collision sent Brown crashing backwards into Referee Mike Chioda. Brutus made the cover but there was no one to count the pin. Beefcake then tried to help Chioda get back to his feet and was rolled up from behind by Brown for the pinfall at 10:54.

6. "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase & his assistant Virgil defeated the Bushwhackers (Butch Miller & Cousin Luke Williams) at 8:03. Dibiase pinned Cousin Luke with a handful of tights after Virgil bashed the Bushwhacker from behind with the Million Dollar Belt.

7. In the Main Event, Randy "Macho Man" Savage (w/ Pomp & Circumstance & Miss Elizabeth) over Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig (w/ chewing gum, towel and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) by disqualification at 17:35. The Macho Man was able to land his big Elbow Drop off the top rope on Mr. Perfect, however Bobby Heenan pulled Referee Earl Hebner out of the ring before he could finish making the three count to draw the DQ.

3. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis (w/ Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart & annoying megaphone) over "Leaping" Lanny Poffo via Count Out at 6:07. During OOR action, Adonis bopped Poffo in the head with his "Relax with Trudi" Briefcase while Hart kept Referee Dave Hebner occupied. Lanny was down and out for the ten count.

4. Canadian Strongman Dino Bravo got a little help from his manager Frenchy Martin to defeat "Birdman" Koko B. Ware (w/ pet Macaw Frankie) at 7:10. With Referee Dave Hebner knocked down on the mat, Koko climbed up to the top turnbuckle to deliver a Missile Drop Kick when Frenchy shook the top rope causing the Birdman to lose his balance and crotch himself on the way down. Bravo made the cover as Hebner recovered to count the pin.

5. The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumping" Jim Brunzell) beat the Bolsheviks (Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zuhkov) by DQ at 7:28. Caught in B. Brian Blair's Sleeper Hold in the middle of the ring and fading fast, Nikolai Volkoff slugged Referee Dave Hebner to save himself from the submission.

6. In the Main Event, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan (w/ 2 x 4, "Ho !!" and a big thumbs up) defeated "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) by disqualification at 12:57 after Virgil smashed Duggan from behind with his own 2 x 4. Dibiase then applied the Million Dollar Dream to his helpless opponent until the Killer Bees ran in to make the save.

Hebner turned around to find Kato making the cover on Atlas and counted the pin.

3. Jimmy Jack Funk (w/ Branding Iron & Lone Ranger Mask) was the unwilling recipient of a haircut courtesy of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. Brutus tried more than once to give his opponent a quick trim with his barber's shears but Jimmy Jack kept bailing from the ring. Funk finally had enough and took the count out at 5:21 as he returned to the locker room with his hair intact.

4. The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (Jacques & Raymond) defeated the Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) by DQ at 8:09 when Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart was caught conking Raymond Rougeau in the back of the head with his megaphone.

3. "The Natural" Butch Reed (w/ Unnatural Blonde Hair & "The Doctor of Style" Slick) defeated "Superfly" Sivi Afi at 5:54. With Sivi Afi perched on the top turnbuckle and ready to deliver a Diving Splash, Slick hopped up to the apron and gave Afi a shove off the top rope. Sivi fell awkwardly to the mat and Reed added a handful of tights to secure the pin.

4. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) over "The Birdman" Koko B. Ware (w/Pet Macaw Frankie) by submission at 6:43. Dibiase put the Birdman away with the Million Dollar Dream Sleeper Hold. After the ring introductions, The Million Dollar Man (announced as hailing from his Summer residence in Hyannis Port, MA by Howard Finkel) offered Koko a handful of C-Notes to walk away and forfeit the match to which the Birdman responded with a slap to Dibiase's face.

5. WWF Tag Team Title Match. Champions Demolition (Ax & Smash w/ Mr. Fuji) defeated the challengers, The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumping" Jim Brunzell) by Reverse Decision (?) in an Unusual Ending at 9:08. The belts appeared to have changed hands when B. Brian Blair cradled Smash for the three count but Referee Danny Davis reversed his decision by declaring that Brunzell was actually the legal man at the time. Davis claimed that the masked Bees made an illegal switch behind his back to justify the controversial decision. Demolition retains the tag titles.

6. "The Walking Natural Disaster" Earthquake (w/ Typhoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) over Jake "The Snake" Roberts (w/ Damian in a Burlap Sack) at 8:15. Typhoon reached into the ring and tripped Jake as he bounded off the ropes to set up Earthquake's sit down Splash for the pinfall.

Hogan with his ear-cupping and signature muscle poses following the match much to the delight of his Hulkamaniacs in attendance at the Garden. Hogan retains the WWF Title.

UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Muskogee Civic Center, Muskogee, OK. Att: 4,481.

Announcers: Jim Ross & Magnum T.A.
Ring Announcer: Reeser Bowden
Referees: Joel Armstrong & Ronnie West

1. High-flying "Jersey Boy" Angelo Mosca Jr. defeated "Mr. Superb" Steve Doll in a very competitive and entertaining match at 7:45. Mosca caught his opponent with a Flying Body Press off the ropes to gain the pinfall.

2. Terry Taylor (w/ "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert & "The First Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt) over Jeff "Rattlesnake" Raitz by submission with a Figure Four Leglock at 6:48. Taylor refused to release the hold until Referee Ronnie West nearly disqualified him. After the bout, Jim Ross had a word with Mr. Taylor:

Ross: "What was that all about, Terry Taylor ?"

Taylor: (In mocking innocence) "What happened, Jim ? Is everyone alright? "

Ross: "What happened ?? Didn't you hear the bell ?!! Did you want to break that youngster's leg in there ??"

(Jeff Raitz is noticably limping and being helped to the back. He can't put any pressure on his leg without grimacing in pain.)

Taylor: "Are you alright, Jeff ? Was there a bell ? The UWF fans are so loud in Muskogee that I couldn't hear a thing !"

Ross rolls his eyes. He turns to Gilbert and Missy Hyatt. "Do you two lovebirds have anything to add ?"

Eddie looks genuinely surprised at Missy. "Did you hear a bell, Cupcake ?" Missy Hyatt is filing her nails and shrugs her shoulders. She briefly stops to admire her nails and then continues to file them.

Gilbert: "Nope. No bells here, Jim. Are you sure it rang ? Can we check the replay ?"

The trio walk away still talking about the phantom bell. Jim Ross has clearly had enough.

Ross: "We're looking at a new Terry Taylor, Ladies and Gentlemen. We'll be back with more wrestling action right after these important messages from our sponsors."

3. Brad Armstrong defeated Brett Sawyer with his Side Russian Leg Sweep at 5:34.

4. The UWF Tag Team Champions, the Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) over the Coast Connection ("Hollywood" John Tatum and Jack Victory w/ Missy Hyatt) by Count Out at 8:49 in a non title match. During OOR action, Jack Victory accidently slugged his own partner with Missy Hyatt's loaded Gucci handbag "The Lady in Waiting". Tatum was out like a light as Referee Ronnie West laid the ten count on him.

5. "Time Keeper" Mike George (w/ clock but no prediction) and Chief Jules Strongbow were both counted out by Referee Joel Armstrong at 12:50 as they battled up the aisle and back to the locker room.

6. "Louisville Slugger" Big Bubba Rogers (w/ Jim Cornette) over "Gentleman" Chris Adams (w/ Miss Sunshine) at 13:43. Adams caught a tennis racket smash to the back from Cornette as he was whipped to the ropes and went down like a ton of bricks. Rogers followed up with a Big Splash off the top rope to seal the victory.

7. The team of "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Ted Dibiase defeated the Jive Tones (Shaska Whatley and Tiger Conway Jr.) at 12:32. The Jive Tones did a lot of yapping and stalling in this match but to no avail. "Dr. Death" planted Conway with his running Oklahoma Stampede Powerslam for the winning pinfall much to the delight of the hometown fans.

UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Rapides Parish Coliseum, Alexandria, LA. Att: 6,037.

Announcers: Boyd Pierce & "Cowboy" Bill Watts
Ring Announcer: Toni Adams
Referees: Tommy Gilbert & Carl Fergie

1. Savannah Jack put away Mike "Hammer" Reed with his Superkick at 5:39.

2. Lord Humongous (w/ Goalie Mask & Downtown Bruno) defeated "The Raging Greek" Mike Pappas with a devastating Chokeslam at 5:28.

3. It appeared as though Eli the Eliminator had pinned UWF Rookie of the Year Shane Douglas with a phantom uppercut until Steve "Do It To It" Cox ran down to ringside and insisted that Referee Carl Fergie examine Eli's hand. Fergie was able to pry Eli's fist open to reveal a roll of quarters that his manager General Skandor Akbar had slipped into the ring to him earlier in the match. Fergie immediately reversed his decision and awarded the bout to Douglas via disqualification. In a ringside interview with Boyd Pierce after the bout, an irate Skandor Akbar said that Cox should have kept his nose out of Devastation Incorported's business and would soon regret his actions.

4. "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer (w/ Dog Collar & Chain) over Chavo Guerrero at 8:34. Chavo had things going his way until he missed a high risk Senton Splash off the top rope and found nothing but canvas. Sawyer added a handful of tights to secure the pin.

5. The father-son team of "Bullet" Bob Armstrong & Brad Armstrong were victorious over the Kiwi Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Cousin Luke Williams w/ Lord Jonathan Boyd & New Zealand Flag) by DQ at 11:14. As is often the case, the Sheepherders came to brawl rather than to wrestle and were on the verge of disqualification throughout the contest. Referee Tommy Gilbert finally had enough when he caught Lord Jonathan Boyd jabbing the flag pole into Brad Armstrong's ribs and called for the bell.

6. UWF TV Title Match. The Champion, "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel (w/ "The First Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt) turned back the challenger Sam Houston to retain his title at 13:39. Landel scored the pinfall with his Corkscrew Elbow Drop after Missy Hyatt laid out Houston with a shot from behind with her loaded Gucci handbag "The Lady in Waiting". The "Nature Boy" always seems to find a way to keep his TV Title.

7. Ted Dibiase and Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy put on quite a show in the Main Event with an epic battle that nearly reached the thirty minute time limit. Dibiase was able to roll through on Gordy's Flying Cross Body Press off the ropes to finally score a pinfall at 29:25. Both men received a loud ovation from the appreciative Alexandria fans.

3. Brett Sawyer (w/ brother "Mad Dog" Buzz) over "Jumping" Joe Savoldi (w/ fellow Jersey Boy Angelo Mosca Jr.) by DQ at 7:32. It should be noted that Savoldi was jumped by the Sawyers during a prematch interview with Jim Ross. The bad blood carried over into the match with all four men battling both outside the ring and in. Referee Edward Faulk could have easily called it a Double Disqualification however he caught Savoldi bashing Brett in the head with his brother's dog chain and awarded the match to Sawyer.

4. The exciting young tag team of Shane Douglas & Steve "Do It To It" Cox got the better of Skandor Akbar's Devastation Incorporated (Eli the Eliminator & "Wild" Bill Irwin). Douglas scored the pinfall on "Wild" Bill after a Belly to Belly Suplex off the ropes at 6:59. Akbar continued his threats toward Cox in a post match interview with Jim Ross.

5. "Dirty" Dick Murdoch defeated Brickhouse Brown at 6:34. Brickhouse ran full steam into an elevated knee from Murdoch on a corner charge to turn the tide of the match. "Dirty" Dick added two feet on the ropes for leverage to secure the pin.

7. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael P.S. Hayes & Buddy Roberts w/ Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy) defeated Sunshine's team of Sting and "Gentleman" Chris Adams at 9:55. With all four men battling in the ring and Referee Ronnie West trying to restore order, Gordy snuck in and reversed Sting's cradle on Michael Hayes. West turned around to find Hayes on top and counted the pin for the Freebirds.

2. "Unpredictable" Dick Slater (w/ valet Dark Journey) beat veteran Art Crews with his trademark Knee Drop at 5:22.

3. Jack Victory (w/ "The First Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt & her beau "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert) defeated the Angel of Death (w/ Sunshine) at 7:24. A lot of extracurricular activity in this match. While Referee Jerry Usher was trying to break up a cat fight between Missy Hyatt and Sunshine in the ring, Eddie Gilbert leapt off the top and clobbered the Angel of Death with Missy's loaded Gucci handbag "The Lady in Waiting". Usher turned around to find Victory making the cover on his KO'd opponent and counted the pin.

4. Angelo Mosca Jr. (w/ fellow Jersey Boy "Jumping" Joe Savoldi) upset "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer (w/ brother Brett) at 8:37. The "Mad Dog" was sent crashing into his brother who had climbed up onto the apron to interfere. Buzz staggered backward from the collision and was cradled by Mosca for the pinfall.

5. The Jive Tones (Shaska Whatley & Tiger Conway Jr.) and the Armstrongs ("Bullet" Bob & son Brad) were both DQ'd in a wild tag match at 7:01. Referee Tommy Gilbert lost control of this bout and called for the bell as all four men battled in the ring.

6. "Gentleman" Chris Adams beat his former friend and tag team partner Terry Taylor (w/ Missy Hyatt & "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert) to a bloody pulp in this bitter grudge match. This was a street fight without a wrestling hold in sight. Adams was a man possessed and busted Taylor open with repeated head smashes to the ring post. Eddie Gilbert was laid out by an Adams' Superkick and even Prissy Missy got knocked down on her fanny in this one. The bloodied Taylor staggered around the ring with rubber legs swinging wildly at nothing in particular. Referee Jerry Usher had seen enough and immediately stopped the bout at 12:25. Taylor had to be helped to the back for medical attention.

7. UWF Title Match. UWF Champion One Man Gang (w/ General Skandor Akbar) and his challenger "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol were counted out by Referee Tommy Gilbert at 15:38 as both men battled it out on the floor. The Gang retains the belt once more.

WWWF Results (Circa Late 70's) – Convention Hall, Asbury Park, NJ. Att: 3,133.

Commentator: Vince McMahon Jr.
Ring Announcer: Joe McHugh
Referees: Billy Caputo, Gilberto Roman & Dusty Feldbaumer

1.”The Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz (w/ Jose Estrada in his corner) over Steve King from Panama City at 4:05. He may be called “Unpredictable”, but Rodz used the ropes to great effect in his customary fashion. Many of his maneuvers (Head Butts, Double Axe Handles, Knee Drop) came via a leap off the 2nd rope to increase their impact. Although he seemed to have his opponent right where he wanted him, Rodz relied upon a loaded punch with some sort of foreign object (slipped to him by Estrada) to put King away for the three count.

2. “Philadelphia’s Favorite Son” S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones beat “Dynamite” Jack Evans (w/ “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe) at 9:43. This bout seemed destined to go to the ten minute time limit until Evans was sent crashing into Larry Sharpe who had climbed up onto the apron to interfere. The force of the collision sent Evans reeling backward and right into Jones’ School Boy Roll Up for the last minute victory.

3. “Raw-Boned” Swede Hansen of Slaughter Creek, NC (w/ manager “Hollywood Fashion Plate” Classy Freddie Blassie) over “Quick Draw” Rick McGraw at 4:34. Quick Draw cut a good promo with Vince McMahon prior to the match, but the bonus points he earned in the process weren’t enough to help him defeat big Swede. Hansen took this match to the floor where he choked out McGraw with some TV cables from the camera crew. Quick Draw gamely tried to make his way back inside the ring, but it was not in time to make Referee Dusty Feldbaumer’s ten count.

4. The team of Baron Scicluna & Stan “The Man” Stasiak defeated “Country Boy” Haystacks Calhoun & Tony Garea by official’s decision at 16:12. Stasiak and Scicluna took it on the chin for the most part, but they managed to cut a gash into Calhoun’s forehead with the aid of a hidden foreign object that they had passed back and forth to one another throughout the contest. Referee Billy Caputo checked on Haystacks’ laceration frequently throughout the contest before finally stopping the bout and declaring him unable to continue due to the excessive bleeding.

5. Dick “The Bulldog” Brower (w/ manager Captain Louis Albano) over Dominic Denucci via Count Out at 10:31. They don’t call Brower “The One Man Riot Squad” for nothing. Unable to get anything going inside the ring, the Bulldog tossed Denucci to the floor and used anything and everything at his disposal to inflict punishment upon his adversary. Brower sent patrons scattering in every direction when he slammed Denucci through a souvenir table full of 8x10 glossy photos of the WWWF’s grapplers. Referee Gilberto Roman, who employed a slow and generous count to enable the wrestlers to get themselves back inside the ring, had no choice but to call for the bell when it became obvious that Denucci would require assistance to the back for medical attention.

6. “Polish Power” Ivan Putski beat “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant (w/ “Luscious” Johnny Valiant & Captain Louis Albano) at 8:06. The reigning WWWF Tag Team Champion Valiant Brothers seemed out of sorts in this singles match. Despite his best intentions to lend a hand during the proceedings, Johnny errantly clobbered his own brother with his tag team title belt when Ivan ducked at the last instant. Jimmy staggered right into the Polish Hammer to give Putski the victory.

7. “Superstar” Billy Graham (w/ his manager The Grand Wizard of Wrestling) over “High Chief” Peter Maivia in the Main Event at 18:45. One could only imagine what was going through the diminutive Grand Wizard’s mind when he became caught in Maivia’s clutches whilest up on the apron trying to interfere. The High Chief was threatening to haul off and smack him as the crowd roared in approval when Graham flew in from behind with a High Knee Smash to the back. Maivia crumpled to the canvas and was pinned with a handful of tights moments after.

1.”Continental Nobleman” Joe Turco defeated Johnny Rivera at 3:51 to kick things off tonight. As always, the colorful Turco had some choice words (in Italian) for the Landover fans. Rivera quickly won the crowd over by Drop Kicking him in the back with a blow that sent the Nobleman flying through the ropes and crashing to the floor below. Turco would gain his revenge, though, when the action once more moved OOR. Rivera was sent head-first into Commentator Vince McMahon’s monitor at the announcer’s table and was counted out by Referee Dick Woehrle moments later.

2. Joyce Grable over Leilani Kai in a Special Ladies Attraction at 6:44. The shady Kai offered a dubious hand shake once the contest got under way and was thrown half way across the ring with an Arm Drag for her trouble. Kai would bounce back to eventually take control of the match, but her high risk leap from the top rope landed on Grable’s raised knees leading to the pinfall.

3. Butcher Paul Vachon had the advantage on his opponent “Flying” Fred Curry after rolling big on his Size modifier. The Butcher’s bulk effectivley kept the agile Curry grounded to the mat for the most part until a missed corner charge turned the momentum against him. Vachon was still on rubbery legs when the momentum of a Flying Cross Body Press by Curry sent both men over the top rope and toppling to the floor. The two continued to battle around ringside while Referee Tony Altimore counted them out at 7:58.

4. Steve Travis over the Golden Terror at 13:03. The Terror, who hails from “The Amazon Region of South America”, has unorthodox mannerisms in the ring that suspiciously resemble those of “The Duke of Dorchester” Pete Dougherty. He appeared to slip some sort of foreign object inside his mask and stun his adversary with a loaded Head Butt, but Travis’ technical prowess would win out in the end. Caught in an Abdominal Stretch in the middle of the ring with no place to go, the masked man submitted to give Travis the victory.

5. Larry Zybyszko defeated George ”The Animal” Steele by way of DQ at 11:08. This match was vintage Steele with the Animal gnawing open a corner turnbuckle and raking the foam stuffing into Zbyszko’s eyes. Steele also employed his trademark tongue depressor throughout the contest, all the while keeping the weapon expertly hidden from Referee John Stanley’s detection. Everything appeared to be going in Steele’s favor until his manager Captain Louis Albano got careless with a folding chair and errantly smashed it to the Animal’s head. Albano quickly raced into the ring to break up Zbyszko’s subsequent pin attempt and draw the disqualification from Stanley.

6. “Hollywood Fashion Plate” Classy Freddie Blassie cut a brilliant promo for his team from the Orient Mr. Fuji & Professor Toru Tanaka prior to their match with “Chief” Jay Strongbow & “High Chief” Peter Maivia. As it turned out, Blassie would also have a huge impact on the bout’s outcome. Blassie held onto Maivia’s foot to prevent him from kicking out and gain the tainted three count after Mr. Fuji connected with a Kamikaze Clothesline off the ropes at 7:28.

7. Bob Backlund received a lukewarm reception from the fans and struggled against “The Big Cat” Ernie Ladd in the Main Event. Ladd’s controversial taped thumb would be the story of this contest. The Big Cat might have had a pinfall had he chosen to make the cover after flooring his adversary with a vicious jab to the throat, but opted instead to keep the doctored thumb pressed against Backlund’s esophagus to cut off his air supply. Ladd refused to release the hold on Referee Dick Woehrle’s five count and was promptly disqualified at 15:10. Several wrestlers ran into the ring to run off the Big Cat. Still gasping for breath, an irate Backlund cut a fiery post-match interview with Vince McMahon at ringside vowing revenge.

1.”Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe over Frankie Williams in our opening contest at 3:02. Williams, who hails from Columbus, OH, got off to a good start and nearly pinned his opponent with a Sunset Flip in the bout’s opening minute. Sharpe quickly rebounded by tossing Frankie OOR and roughing him up with a Body Slam on the floor. Once back inside the ring, Williams sustained a Backbreaker across the knee and was finished off with a Piledriver moments later.

2. Tony Russo bested Johnny Rivera at 3:34. Rivera used some nifty aerial maneuvers to dominate this bout, but ran full steam into a raised boot on a corner charge. Russo then made the cover and added a foot on the ropes to gain additional leverage as Referee Gilberto Roman counted the 1-2-3.

3. Tony Garea & “Country Boy” Haystacks Calhoun defeated the tandem of Rocky Tamayo & Tank Patton at 4:51. The 601lb Calhoun was the star of this tag team attraction and awed the youngsters in the Garden with his massive bulk. In a comical moment, Tamaya attempted to lift Haystacks up for a Body Slam and was greeted with a clubbing forearm to the back. The Country Boy simultaneously flattened both Patton and Tamayo with a Corner Avalanche before taking a seat on Rocky’s chest for the three count.

4. Baron Scicluna over Dino Bravo via Count Out at 9:51. The story of this match was the WWWF Tag Team Champion Valiant Brothers who came down to ringside to scout Bravo. (Handsome Jimmy & Luscious Johnny have an upcoming title defense against Dino Bravo & Dominic Denucci in New Haven, CT.) The Valiants combined for a Double Clothesline on Bravo OOR while Baron Scicluna kept Referee Dick Kroll occupied. Dino could not recover in time to make the official’s ten count.

5. International Superstar Mil Mascaras beat Mr. Fuji at 8:04. Mascaras caught a huge break when Referee Gilberto Roman ordered Fuji’s manager “Hollywood Fashion Plate” Classy Freddie Blassie to return to the locker room before the action got under way. Not to be outdone, the devious Blassie had an ace up his sleeve and sent Fuji’s tag team partner Professor Tanaka to ringside in his place. Ironically enough, Tanaka would cost his partner the match when he climbed up onto the apron to interfere. Fuji was sent crashing into him and staggered backward into a Flying Crucifix from Mascaras for the winning pinfall.

6. Chief Jay Strongbow defeated “Russian Bear” Ivan Koloff in a Indian Strap Match at 20:27. Koloff got the early jump by attacking the Chief from behind with a Double Axe Handle while Referee Dusty Feldbaumer was fastening the strap onto Strongbow’s wrist. The tide of the battle quickly turned, however, when the Russian Bear’s forehead was busted open by a reverse head smash to a corner post. Aided by the strap buckle, Strongbow opened the gash further with a series of Tomahawk Chops. Dazed and blinded by blood, Koloff was dragged around the ring as the Chief hit all four turnbuckles to gain the victory.

7. WWWF Champion Bruno Sammartino successfully defended his title against Superstar Billy Graham in the Main Event. Graham had a distinct advantage after his manager the Grand Wizard of Wrestling slipped him a money clip while the two were conferring in the corner. Again and again, the Superstar used the object to punish the Champ. Graham may have gone to the well once too often, though, and was finally caught in the act by Referee Dick Kroll. The official wasted no time in calling for the bell and disqualified the challenger at 38:00.

Referees: Jack Terry, Mario Savoldi & John Stanley

1. Introduced as hailing from “The Wiles of Canada”, “Butcher” Paul Vachon bested Panama City’s Steve King at 4:52 in our opening contest. The big Butcher’s points total was bolstered by a roll on his Cheating Modifier. The cagey veteran was able to weaken his opponent with a hidden chokehold on the mat before finishing King off with a Double Axe Handle smash to the chest off the ropes.

2. In a special Ladies Attraction, Judy Martin and Vicki Williams were both disqualified by Referee Mario Savoldi. Williams tried to wrestle a scientific match, but was drawn into a slugfest by the highly aggressive Martin. Despite his best efforts to enforce the rule book, Savoldi was simultaneously pushed down to the mat by both gals who were determined to duke it out. The official had enough and called for the bell at 5:50.

3. Stan “The Man” Stasiak pinned “Quick Draw” Rick McGraw at 3:15. McGraw got off to a fast start with a flurry of Arm Drags and Hip Tosses, but became distracted by Stasiak’s manager the Grand Wizard of Wrestling who was berating him from the corner. Quick Draw turned right into a clothesline and sustained Stasiak’s Heart Punch finisher moments later for the three count.

4. The resilient Dominic Denucci defeated “Unpredictable” Johnny Rodz at 5:53. Denucci had to overcome a sneak attack by the Valiant Brothers while being interviewed by his paisan Frank Coutinho prior to the match. The Valiant’s, who are scheduled to defend their WWWF Tag Team Titles against Denucci & Dino Bravo in New Haven, CT next week, put a double team beatdown on Dominic until “Matman” Robbie Ellis sprang from the announcers’ table with his trademark lobster trap and ran off the heels. Denucci lost 250 points from the assault, but persevered to beat Rodz with an Airplane Spin.

5.Baron Scicluna and his partner the Golden Terror may have caught a big break in their tag team contest against Louis Cerdan & Tony Parisi. The Terror and Scicluna were taking it on the chin and appeared to be on the fast track to a lop-sided defeat when Referee Mario Savoldi was KO’d during a violent collision between Cerdan and the Baron. The bout was immediately stopped and officially declared a “No Contest” as Savoldi was assisted to the back for medical attention.

6. As he so often does, George “The Animal” Steele chased Ring Announcer Gary Cappetta from the ring before the spectacled Ring Announcer could complete his match introductions. The bonus points came in mighty handy for the Animal who went on to defeat Auckland, New Zealand’s Tony Garea at 8:40. Steele was also the beneficiary of some devious interference by his manager Captain Louis Albano. Tony was pushed from behind by Albano while he was attempting to set himself on the top rope for a high risk leap. Garea crashed to the canvas and was pinned with a handful of tights by the Animal moments later.

7. In the Main Event, the “Big Cat” Ernie Ladd (w/ the Grand Wizard of Wrestling) beat Bob Backlund in a Steel Cage Match at 22:43. Never at a loss for words, Ladd cut a brilliant promo with Frank Coutinho prior to the action. During the interview, the Big Cat vowed to pummel his opponent so thoroughly that WWWF fans would not be able to recognize Backlund after the match. Ladd did indeed inflict a great deal of punishment on his foe, but took the worst of the battle by far. Bleeding profusely from a gash across his forehead following a head rammer into the cage wall, the Big Cat was in a heap of trouble after sustaining his adversary’s Atomic Spinebuster finisher. The Grand Wizard saved the day for Ladd, however, by slamming the door into Backlund’s face when the native of Princeton, Minnesota tried to exit the cage. The Big Cat was then able to climb out to victory while his dazed opponent tried to shake out the cobwebs.

Ring Announcer: Rich Landrum
Referees: Johnny Boone, Bill Alphonso & Randy "Pee Wee" Anderson

1. The Sky Scrapers (Sid Vicious & "Dangerous" Dan Spivey) opened the show in grand fashion with a convincing win over Pablo Crenshaw & Brian Carr. Spivey and Vicious absolutely mauled their opponents in this lop-sided contest from beginning to end. Brian Carr could have easily been pinned after sustaining a Double Chokeslam from the Sky Scrapers, but Vicious lived up to his name by adding a devastating Power Bomb on top of the carnage before allowing the three count at 4:48.

2. What appeared to initially be an advantage for J.T. Southern ended up helping his opponent Ranger Ross in the end. Southern's buddy Johnny Flamingo came down to ringside as the bout commenced and was antsy to get in on the action. Once the match spilled OOR, Flamingo had his opportunity but blew it when he accidentally smashed a chair over J.T.'s head after the Ranger had ducked at the last instant. Johnny eventually revived his KO'd friend, but it was not in time to make Referee Bill Alphonso's ten count. The time of the match was 2:55.

3. "Lord" Steven Regal (w/ Union Jack & "Squire" David Taylor) was defeated by Marcus Alexander Bagwell at 8:05. The pompous blueblood threatened to walk out on this match after claiming that Charleston was not worthy of his presence, but thought twice when Referee Randy Anderson's ten count nearly ran out. Regal quickly returned to the ring and was immediately caught in a series of Arm Drags upon climbing through the ropes. Bagwell continued to dominate the action until he was hit from behind by Taylor while Lord Steven distracted the official. Regal's subsequent Back Body Drop attempt, however, met with disaster when Marcus caught him with his Yellow Jack (Cradle) Suplex to gain the pinfall.

4. The Great Muta (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) seemed overly preoccupied by the presence of the United States Champion Ron Simmons who joined the announcers' table to provide guest commentary for his match against "Rap Master" P.N. News. (Muta lost the championship to the All-American in Savannah, GA several weeks ago). Using his bulk to great effect, the Rap Master flattened his opponent with a Corner Avalanche, but his Broken Record finisher (Diving Splash) missed after the cagey Muta rolled out of the way at the last second. It was then the Japanese star's turn to go up top. Muta successfully landed his trademark Moonsault from the top turnbuckle for the victory at 12:23.

5. Classic tag team action was featured in our next contest pitting the popular Young Pistols (Steve Armstrong & Tracy Smothers) against the Texicans (Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce). The Pistols had the early edge after earning bonus points for signing autographs prior to Rich Landrum's match introductions, but Pierce and Slazenger were able to turn the momentum in their favor with their usual roughhouse tactics as well as several dirty double team maneuvers. Undaunted, the Pistols persevered and seemed to have victory in their grasp when Slazenger became caught in Tracy Smothers' Small Package, but Shanghai Pierce snuck into the ring behind the official's back and reversed the cradle. Referee Bill Alphonso finally turned around to find Slazenger on top and counted the pin at 8:15.

6. Scott Steiner caught a huge break in his bout against "Stunning" Steve Austin when Referee Randy Anderson ordered Austin's valet Lady Blossom back to the dressing room before the opening bell sounded. Stunning Steve appeared to be out of sorts without having the fiery jezebel in his corner and struggled to mount any offense against Steiner. Scotty was able to catch his adversary in a Frankensteiner, however Anderson was hit in the head with Stunning Steve's boot and KO'd during the Flying Head Scissors take down. Johnny Boone and Bill Alphonso immediately rushed into the ring to attend to their fellow official. The bout was officially declared a No Contest at 6:08.

7. A man called Sting (w/ Spiky Blonde Hair, Colorful Face Paint and a Whole Lotta Charisma) over Cactus Jack (w/ Missing Teeth & Marbles) in our Main Event at 11:49. The Stinger has certainly had his problems with Cactus as of late and was looking for some payback on the madman from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico this evening in Charleston. Jack was bonked over the head with a fan's sign during his ring entrance to add to his score, but was caught in a flurry of punches from his fired up opponent immediately upon entering the ring. Sting continued to take the battle to his antagonist until he was grabbed by his trunks and pulled through the ropes to the floor below. Cactus then leapt off the apron with a Flying Elbow Smash but missed and crashed hard to the floor. A Running Clothesline from the Stinger then sent his foe over the barricade railing and into the second row of spectators. Sting narrowly beat Referee Johnny Boone's ten count to get the duke. Jack returned to the ring with a folding chair after the bell but was beaten off by the victor. Oblivious to the official's decision, Cactus smiled a toothless grin and made his trademark "Bang ! Bang!" Six-Gun Hand Gesture before returning backstage.

Referees: Randy Eller, Mark Curtis & Nick Patrick

1.Led to the ring by his manager Teddy “Peanut Head” Long, “Mean” Mark Callous (WWF’s Undertaker) put a certain hurtin’ on Chief Allen Iron Eagle. Although it wasn’t necessary, Callous’ fortunes were additionally boosted by a roll on his Strength modifier. Mean Mark could have probably had a pinfall after delivering a devastating Heart Punch, but added his Heat Seeking Missile (Rope Walk Diving Elbow Drop) to seal the deal at 4:44.

2. Randy Barber went down to the popular 2 Cold Scorpio in our second contest. To his credit, Barber’s cheating and roughhouse tactics kept him in this bout, but his opponent’s relentless aerial assault would win out in the end. A Missile Drop Kick was the prelude for a Sommersault Leg Drop to set Barber up for the finish. Scorpio hit a huge 450 Splash from the top rope to put Randy away at 6:41.

3. The Diamond Studd (Scott Hall) can thank his manager Diamond Dallas Page for a Count Out victory over “Heavy Metal” Van Hammer at 7:26. After a slow start, Hammer got himself on a roll and began to string together some high impact power moves. Using the ropes to give himself additional momentum, Heavy Metal floored his adversary with a pair of Running Clotheslines and was looking to add a third when DDP struck. Page pulled the top rope down causing Hammer to fly out of the ring and crash hard to the floor below. Referee Nick Patrick immediately questioned Studd’s shady manager but Page denied any wrongdoing. The official then laid the ten count on Hammer who was unable to answer the call.

4. “Flying” Brian Pillman continues to get the better of his bitter foe Erik Watts. Tonight, Pillman teamed up with young Chris Benoit to defeat Watts and his partner “Z Man” Tom Zenk in a tag team contest. Flyin’ Brian illegally came off the top rope with Air Pillman (Diving Clothesline) on Watts while Referee Randy Eller was trying to separate Chris Benoit and Tom Zenk. Benoit, the legal man for his team, then pounced on the dazed Watts for the tainted pinfall at 6:00.

5. Terrence Taylor of the York Foundation (w/ Yuppie Pony Tail and Executive Director Alexandra York) over “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton. With the twenty minute time limit rapidly approaching in this match, it very much looked as though both combatants would miss the offical’s count as they battled OOR. Taylor, however, managed to roll himself back inside the ring after bashing Eaton in the head with Alexandra’s laptop computer. Referee Mark Curtis, who was being distracted by Ms. York during Taylor’s shenanigans, then counted the KO’d Eaton out at 19:43.

6. Big Van Vader (w/ Harley Race) beat “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes at 11:13. Despite holding a substantial size advantage in this bout and getting bonus points for his Strength modifier, Vader got some timely help from his manager Harley Race to pull out a victory. Race held onto Vader to thwart Dustin’s Bulldog attempt out of the corner causing the Natural to fall to the canvas empty-handed. Vader then hopped up to the second rope and delivered a Big Splash to gain the winning three count.

7. Cactus Jack (w/ An Eerie Toothless Grin and Six-Gun Hand Gesture) thought that he had a man called Sting (w/ Spiky Blonde Hair & Colorful Face Paint) right where he wanted him when the Stinger agreed to face him in a brutal Texas Death Match in this evening’s Main Event. Cactus found out the hard way that his adversary could be a pretty rough hombre in his own right. Sting beat the man from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico at his own game with a Leaping 2 X 4 Smash to the noggin off the top rope that put Cactus down for the ten count at 14:50.

1. Johnny Gunn had his problems with the York Foundation prior to his match with “Scrap Iron” Bill Ford. Gunn was cutting a promo with Missy Hyatt when Executive Director Alexandra York & Mr. Hughes rudely interrupted. Hughes, who was scheduled to face Pablo Crenshaw in the next contest, thought it was his mic time and told Gunn to take a hike. Johnny took exception to the snub and challenged the York Foundation’s “Head of Security” to a match next week. After a brief stare down, Hughes accepted the offer and stuck around ringside to give Gunn something to think about. The strategy worked. Johnny was continually distracted by the big body guard’s presence and was clearly off his game. Ford was able to capitalize to keep himself in the match, but went down to Johnny’s Thesz Press off the ropes at 8:54.

2. Still seething from his confrontation with Gunn, Mr. Hughes snatched the house mic away from Ring Announcer Rhubarb Jones and told Johnny to “watch closely”. Hughes then proceeded to maul his opponent Pablo Crenshaw in a complete squash. A crushing Sidewalk Slam off the ropes set up Hughes’ Chokeslam finisher at 4:16.

3. Johnny B. Badd (w/ manager Teddy “Peanut Head” Long) over “Young Pistol” Steve Armstrong at 4:50. Badd really drew the heat tonight in Ozark and was pelted with debris as he pranced down the aisle for his ring entrance. The bonus points came in handy, as did a timely distraction from Teddy Long. Armstrong took a swipe at the shady manager and then turned right into the Kiss of Death (Left Hook KO Punch) from Badd that put him down for the three count.

4. Fabulous Freebird Jimmy “Jam” Garvin (w/ Michael P.S. Hayes) defeated “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko of the Dangerous Alliance (w/ Arn Anderson & Paul E. Dangerously) via DQ at 13:09. Referee Bill Alphonso had his hands full trying to keep the respective corner men at bay throughout this contest. While Dangerously refrained from directly interfering in the match, he did manage to sneak his portable phone into Zbyszko’s hands while Arn Anderson was arguing with the official. Alphonso turned around just in time to catch the Living Legend smashing Garvin in the noggin with the phone and promptly called for the bell.

5. The Great Muta (w/ manager “Playboy” Gary Hart) over lumberjack Big Josh (w/ Axe Handle) at 15:38. Muta managed to pull off many of his signatures moves including his Roaring Elbow Drop and Hand Spring Back Elbow Smash after a corner whip, however his Moonsault finisher from the top turnbuckle found nothing but canvas. It was then Josh’s turn to go up top and attempt his Northern Exposure (Sit Out Splash), but the devious Gary Hart had other ideas. The lumberjack was clubbed in the knee with his own axe handle by Hart and crashed awkwardly to the mat where he was cradled by Muta for the three count.

6. WCW Tag Team Title Match. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) successfully defended their titles against Kevin Sullivan’s Varsity Club (Captain Mike Rotundo & “Dog-Faced Gremlin” Rick Steiner). The Nasty Boys were able to take advantage of a folding chair that was slid into the ring by Sullivan for his men to use. Knobbs gave Rick Steiner a DDT onto the chair with Saggs then coming off the top rope with an Elbow Drop to put the Dog-Faced Gremelin away at 10:23.

7. Rick Steamboat defeated “Ravishing” Rick Rude by disqualification in the Main Event. Steamboat’s Speed Modifier gave Rude all sorts of problems in this bout. Unable to get anything going in the ring, the Ravishing One took the action to the floor where he ran Steamboat head first into the ring post. Referee Bill Alphonso caught Rude in the act and immediately called for the DQ at 8:48.

2. Ladies' Tournament Finals. After two previous matches that ended in a Double Count Out and Double DQ, a Ladies' Champion was finally crowned when "Cowgirl" Wendi Richter pinned "Senasational" Sherri Martel (w/ "Playboy" Buddy Rose) at 7:27. Martel was sent crashing into Buddy Rose who had climbed up onto the apron to interfere. Sherri staggered backwards right into a Schoolgirl Roll Up from Richter for the winning pinfall. The fans were ecstatic to see Sherri lose and then proceed to have a tantrum in the ring with "The Pillsbury Dough Boy" Buddy Rose. Wendi Richter is the Ladies' Champion !

3. Perhaps because the location was the East Coast, David Sammartino got a rousing ovation during his ring entrance and went on to defeat Boris Zhukov (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) at 7:15. The end came when Zhukov missed a corner charge and crashed shoulder-first into the ring post. Sammartino hopped up to the 2nd rope and pinned the stunned Russian with a Sunset Flip out of the corner for the victory.

4. The team of Curt Hennig and Big Scott Hall beat the Alaskans (Rick Renslow & David Wagner w/ Alaskan War Clubs) at 6:06. Big Scott put away Dave Wagner with his Hallbuster Bulldog out of the corner. Rick Renslow ran in to try and break up the pin count but was intercepted by a Curt Hennig Drop Kick.

5. AWA TV Title Match. Champion Mr. Saito (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) employed a devious pre-match ambush to injure his challenger "Olympian" Brad Rheingans. Rheingans was hit from behind with a folding chair by Saito while being interviewed by Larry Nelson at ringside. Brad lost 250 points for the attack which clearly hampered his chances for victory. Saito pinned the hobbled Olympian with his Saito Suplex at 8:08 to retain the AWA TV Title.

6. In the Main Event, "High Flyer" Greg Gagne lost by Count Out to the always annoying "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko (w/ Go the Ninja) at 9:12. Greg was hit from behind with nunchucks by the mysterious Ninja after being tossed out of the ring by Zbyszko. Referee Marty Miller put the ten count on the KO'd High Flyer. Zbyszko drew tremendous heat in Atlantic City by snatching the mic away from Larry Nelson during his ring introduction and saying, "I'm baaaaaack, Spudheads !" No doubt many in attendance recalled his wars with Bruno Sammartino in the WWF some five years previous.

1. Big Otto Wanz put away Chris Curtis with a crushing Corner Avalanche followed by a Running Splash at 2:36.

2. "Sensei" Pat Tanaka (w/ Diamond Dallas Page & the Diamond Doll) over "Jamming" Mitch Snow via Count Out at 4:54. As the action spilled OOR and onto the floor, a Thrust Kick from Tanaka sent Mitch Snow crashing head-first into the ring post. Snow was seeing stars and unable to shake out the cobwebs in time to make Scott Ledoux's ten count.

3. The Russians (Yuri Gordyenko & Alexis Smirnoff) defeated the Top Guns (Ricky Rice & Jon Paul DeManns) at 6:49. Rice was perched on the top rope and ready to deliver a high risk maneuver onto a woozy Gordyenko when he was suddenly shoved from behind by Smirnoff and crashed awkwardly to the canvas. Gordyenko grabbed a handful of tights to make the pin.

4. "Polish Prince" Steve Olsonoski beat "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly (w/ Madusa Micelli & Nick Kiniski) by DQ at 7:06. Kiniski ran into the ring and broke up Steve O's pin attempt after Kelly was caught in an Airplane Spin. Referee Scott Ledoux immediately called for the bell.

5. The Mongolian Stomper (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) defeated "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell at 9:14. Blackwell caught his old nemesis Sheik Adnan up on the apron and was choking him out when he was hit from behind with a chair by the Stomper. Referee Rich Frisk, who had been knocked down in the action, missed the chair shot but recovered in time to count the pin on Blackwell.

6. Tommy "Jumbo" Tsuruta defeated AWA World Champion Rick Martel at 25:17 in a non-title match. 2. "The Champion of Apartheid" Colonel Debeers (w/ Twirling Mustache & Swagger Stick) over "Beach Boy" Sonny Rogers at 4:55. Sonny's aerial assault initially kept the Colonel off balance, but the "Beach Boy" eventually went down for the three count after Debeer's South African Facebuster.

3. Soldad Ustinov (w/ Russian Flag & Teijo Khan) beat "Olympian" Brad Rheingans of Appleton, MN by Count Out at 8:58. Ustinov tossed Rheingans OOR and proceded to distract Referee Robert Warren while Teijo Khan jabbed the flag pole into Brad's midsection. Rheingans was doubled-over on the floor and could not make the count. Greg Gagne threw off his headset and left the announcers' table to check on Brad. Gagne challenged Ustinov and Khan to a tag team match next week.

Somers was pinned after being sent crashing into Buddy Rose who had climbed up onto the apron to interfere.

5. Curt Hennig from Robbinsdale, MN was counted out by Referee Gary DeRusha in his match against "The Wildman from Borger, TX" Stan "The Lariat" Hansen at 15:54. Curt was down and out for the ten count after being smashed in the forehead with Hansen's cowbell during OOR action.

6. AWA Tag Team Title Match. The Challengers, "Precious" Paul Ellering's Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) were disqualified by Referee Scott Ledoux in their bid to unseat the Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) as AWA Tag Team Champions. The Warriors were all business as they hit the ring running and attacked before the opening bell to gain the early advantage. The Rockers battled back, though, and used their speed and agility to offset the brute force of their opponents. As the action spilled out onto the floor, Hawk ran Jannetty head first into the ring post to draw the DQ at 11:42. The Midnight Rockers retain the tag team titles.
