This was a memorable year in more ways than one.....1969-70 marked the final season in the brilliant careers of Gordie Howe (before WHA) and Jean Beliveau. This season also brought one of the most famous Stanley Cup moments, the Bobby Orr goal. Captured in probably the greatest photo in hockey history, Number 4 flying through the air, stick raised in triumph after being tripped up by disgruntled (notice facial expression) St. Louis Blues defenseman Noel Picard. Truly a great season in NHL history......just don't say that to the Los Angeles Kings (my all-time favorite team) who had a pitiful season. Enjoy with my compliments.
