1985 ATP tournaments
DaveP
I played a couple of tournaments with UQ Tennis over the past week and really enjoyed it. A bit of nostalgia at work, too--it was one of the first titles I bought from Downey Games, way back in 2006. So here's an attempt at the 1985 ATP season.

-----------------------

First up is the ASB Classic, also known as the Benson & Hedges Open, held at the ASB Tennis Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, on Jan. 7.

32-player draw, no byes
Outdoor, hard surface
$94,200 prize money

None of the big names made the trip to New Zealand, so it was a wide-open event.

FINALS: Steve Guy (New Zealand) def. John Fitzgerald (Australia), 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.

Heading to Philadelphia next for the U.S. Pro Indoor tournament. John McEnroe will be going for his fourth consecutive win at this event.
