1.Veteran George South boasted that he would send his opponent Lazor Tron (a masked Hector Guerrero) “back to the future” in a pre-match interview with Bob Caudle. South then spent the next two minutes on the receiving end of one aerial maneuver after another. Lazor Tron hit a Flying Tackle off the ropes and then followed up with a Missile Drop Kick before finishing off his adversary with a Diving Cross Body Press at 2:12.
2. Chris Champion (w/ New Breed tag team partner Sean Royal) bested “Downtown” Denny Brown in a fast-paced and highly competitive cruiserweight contest. Royal minded his own business for the most part, but caused a major distraction when he climbed up to the apron to give Denny a piece of his mind. Brown decked him with a haymaker, but turned right into his opponent’s Flying Clothesline from the top rope moments later. Champion then went back up top to deliver a Diving Head Butt to seal the victory at 14:17.
3. Pumped up by the crowd during his ring entrance, Sam Houston rewarded the fans for their support with a win over “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel at 6:27. Everything seemed to be going the Nature Boy’s way right from the opening bell. Landel tossed the lanky cowboy OOR to do a little showboating and was caught with a shoulder butt to the midsection when his foe climbed back up onto the apron. Houston then slingshotted himself back inside the ring with a Sunset Flip to put Landel’s shoulders down to the mat for the three count.
4. Former TV Champ Don Kernodle looked like he was in good shape after rolling on his Cheating modifier, but opponent “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin’s chances were also bolstered after cutting a great promo with Bob Caudle prior to their match. While he might have been able to escape Garvin’s Sharpshooter with the aid of the ropes, Kernodle could not elude Rugged Ronnie’s famous Knockout Punch. Kernodle was out like a light as Referee Ron West counted the pinfall at 13:15.
5. Road Warrior Hawk (w/ “Precious” Paul Ellering) over “Russian Nightmare” Nikita Koloff (w/ Uncle Ivan Koloff) via DQ at 7:59. Scientific wrestling was nowhere to be found in this slugfest. It appeared as though the winner of the match might simply be the last man standing until Uncle Ivan raced in and inadvertently leveled Referee Jack Terry with his Russian Chain after Hawk ducked. Terry had to be assisted to the back for medical attention, but not before signaling for the bell and rendering his decision to Ring Announcer Elliott Murnick.
6. Paul Jones Army (“Ragin’ Bull” Manny Fernandez & the Barbarian) defeated the NWA's defending Tag Team Champions the Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) by way of Count Out at 15:31. “No. 1” Paul Jones proved to be the difference in this classic battle pitting Ricky & Robert’s speed against the vicious and methodical Fernandez and his powerhouse of a partner. The devious manager waited for an opportune moment to interfere and struck when the action moved to the floor. Robert Gibson was clubbed from behind with Jones’ walking stick during a free-for-all OOR and was unable to make Referee Tommy Young’s subsequent ten count. The Rock & Roll Express retain the NWA Tag Team Championship.
7. Arn Anderson of the Four Horsemen (w/ Ole Anderson) was disqualified against “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes in a grueling Main Event at 28:06. No doubt frustrated by his inability to put Dusty away after catching the Dream in a devastating Spinebuster off the ropes, Arn petitioned to his fellow Horseman OOR for some assistance. Ole immediately slid a folding chair into the ring, but Rhodes wound up using it to his advantage instead. Arn bent over to pick up the chair but was driven face-first into it with a DDT from the Dream. Referee Ron West was applying what appeared to be a certain three count on Arn when Ole entered the ring to break up the pin and draw the DQ.

1. Despite being the heel, Doug Vines generated no heat whatsoever in his opening contest against Nelson Royal. The loss of points would cost him dearly. Royal used his veteran savvy to pin his opponent with an Oklahoma Side Roll when Vines telegraphed a Back Body Drop attempt. The time of the fall was 5:21.
2. Mulkey Mania ran wild in Roanoke as brothers Randy & Bill were inundated with youngsters seeking their autographs as they made their way down the aisle to take on the State Patrol (Lt. James Earl Wright & Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker). The good vibe was spoiled by Wright, however. Randy was perched on the 2nd rope and administering ten punches to Sgt. Parker in the corner while the fans counted along when the Lieutenant bopped him in the noggin with his night stick. Parker quickly pounced on the KO'd Mulkey for the three count at 8:54.
3. "Wild" Bill White got the early jump on the Italian Stallion by attacking before the bell and seemed to be in complete control of the match when disaster struck. White was in the process of hoisting his opponent up for an Atomic Knee Drop when the Stallion flipped himself out of the maneuver and rolled Wild Bill up from behind for the surprise pinfall at 2:19.
4. All heck broke loose in the bout between "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez and "Avalanche" Buzz Tyler. Fernandez received lots of help from his manager "No. 1" Paul Jones along the way which infuriated commentator Jimmy Valiant to no end. Unable to contain himself any longer, the Boogie-Woogie Man threw off his headset and bolted from the announcers' table to give the devious Jones his comeuppance. Fernandez quickly rushed to his manager's defense with Tyler also joining in on the fracas. Unable to restore order, Referee George Grant disqualified both grapplers at 8:02.
5. NWA Mid-Atlantic Television Title Match. Defending Champ "Pistol" Pez Whatley was in top form and used his quickness to stay one step ahead of his lumbering challenger Krusher Khruschev. The big Russian lured Pez to the floor where he caught him with a Low Blow Mule Kick between the wickets. Doubled over and writhing in pain, Whatley desperately tried to get himself back inside the ring but it was not in time to make Referee Sonny Fargo's ten count. Your winner via Count Out at 10:08 - Krusher Khruschev with Pez Whatley retaining the TV Championship.
6. Abdullah the Butcher (w/ "No. 1" Paul Jones & "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez) beat Chief Wahoo McDaniel at 17:49. Technical wrestling was nowhere to be found in this slobberknocker. Referee Stu Schwartz allowed a lot of leeway with the rulebook to help determine a winner as McDaniel and Abdullah took turns pummeling one another. Outside Interference would once again come into play. Buzz Tyler returned to ringside and teamed up with Jimmy valiant in an effort to try and keep Jones and Fernandez at bay. The strategy worked, but only for so long as Jones was eventually able to bash Wahoo from behind with his walking stick amidst the chaos. Abdullah then followed up with his Sudanese Meat Cleaver (Running Elbow Drop) to put the Chief's shoulders to the mat for the three count.
7. Tully Blanchard (w/ his "Perfect Ten" Baby Doll) over Magnum T.A. via DQ in the Main Event at 15:54. As one might expect, Magnum, who hails from Virginia Beach, received a hero's welcome during his entrance to take on the swarmy Blanchard. To his credit, Tully attempted to wrestle a scientific bout, but, alas, he showed his true colors when the match began to get away from him. Blanchard deliberately sent his adversary crashing into Referee George Grant and toppled the official hard to the canvas. The dazed Grant blamed Magnum for the dirty deed and immediately disqualified him. Magnum pleaded his innocence, but his protest fell on deaf ears. Blanchard was showered with debris as he made his way to the back with both arms raised in victory.

1. "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jesse Godderz (w/ BroMan's tag team partner Robbie E) over Big Rob Terry at 5:46. Robbie E's presence at ringside made all the difference in this bout. Terry was very preoccupied in getting his hands on his former Jersey Shore partner allowing Godderz to sneak up from behind with a Schoolboy Roll Up for the pinfall.
Here comes TNA President Dixie Carter down to ringside with her little toadie Rockstar Spud. Now what? Dixie has something to say. Okay, here we go....
Dixie says she cleaned house in TNA over the past year and single-handedly saved the company from bankruptcy by transforming it into "Dixieland". She says the ratings have soared ever since she canned Hulk Hogan as GM. Dixie says the company has a clear vision for the future. She calls out Programming Director Frank Coutinho!
Frank makes his way down to ringside. Dixie reminds Frank that his contract is up for renewal and that if he doesn't like the direction that she's taking the company that he can hit the bricks. (Spud is poking Frank in the chest as if to emphasize Dixie's point.) Frank swats him away like a fly and begins his rebuttal but his mic abruptly cuts out. Dixie chuckles and says, "Oh, well."
"Sorry..... about your damn luck" booms over the PA bringing a cheer from the fans and Cowboy James Storm down to the ring. Storm stands beside Frank. The Cowboy says that he's knocked back some long necks with Coutinho in the past and that Frank's okay in his book. Storm says that his contract is also coming up for renewal and that he's going to think "long and hard" about if he wants to come back to TNA. Dixie laughs and tells him to think about it while he's wrestling Magnus in tonight's "Number One Contender's Match" Main Event. She says the winner of the match will get a shot at A.J. Style's Championship next week.
Dixie then informs Spud that he's wrestling Gunner tonight and to get ready for his match. Spud looks terrified and tries to talk his way out of it as they return backstage.
2. Brooke Tessmacher beat Velvet Skye by disqualification for some unwanted interference from Chris Sabin. In an attempt to win over Velvet's affections, Sabin came down to ringside just in time to push Tessmacher off the top rope as she was setting herself on the turnbuckle for a high risk maneuver. His plan went awry, however, when Knockouts' ref Taryn Terrell saw the infraction and immediately called for the bell at 6:22. Velvet seemed none too pleased with Mr. Sabin for costing her the match.
3. Unable to change Dixie's mind, a reluctant Rockstar Spud made his way to the ring to face Gunner. Spud did a lot of running and hiding (behind Referee Brian Hebner in particular), but Gunner eventually caught up with him and induced a submision with his Gun Rack (Backbreaker Rack) at 4:34.
4. TNA Televison Title Match. Zema Ion's new DJ Gimmick did not go over well with the fans and cost him some valuable points against TV Champ Austin Aries. Those points would have come in mighty handy because it was vintage "A Double" tonight as Aries hit his IED (Corner Drop Kick) and Last Chancery (Bridging Arm Triangle Choke) enroute to victory with the Brainbuster at 6:57. Austin Aries retains the TV Title.
5. Aces & Eights (Knux & DOC) defeated the rather odd team of "Showtime" Eric Young (w/ ODB ) and Attorney Joseph Park, Esq. As is often the case when Joseph is busted open, the sight of his own blood transforms the attorney's persona into that of his "brother" the Monster Abyss. Park cleaned house of everyone including his own partner Eric Young whom he flattened with a Black Hole Slam (Spinning Side Slam). A dazed Knux crawled over and laid an arm across Young's chest for the pinfall at 8:04.
6. Number One Contender's Match. Somehow, I don't think the outcome of this match was the way that Dixie Carter had envisioned it when she sent Rockstar Spud and EC3 (Ethan Carter III) to be in Magnus' corner against Cowboy James Storm. Although he had the best of intentions in trying to lay out Storm, Spud accidentally smashed a bottle of beer over Magnus' head. The dazed Brit was then easy pickins for the Cowboy's Last Call (Super Kick) for the three count at 11:47. Storm will face A.J. Styles for the TNA Title next week.

The program opened with Dixie Carter already in the ring with a microphone and her grinning ninny Rockstar Spud pointing to his Mickey Mouse wrist watch. Dixie says times up while Spud nods emphatically. She tells the crowd that Programming Director Frank Coutinho's TNA contract officially expired before the program went on the air.
Frank makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring with a folded piece of paper. Spud immediately snatches the document out of Frank's hand and gives it to Dixie. Frank explains that he tendered his resignation a week ago and that Dixie should read her mail more often. Dixie folds her arms and smiles. Frank says that even though he is no longer the Programming Director, he will still be a part of TNA. He informs us that he has a new contract with the Board of Trustees to form an affiliation with both Shimmer and ROH and fill out the Knockouts' roster with new talent. A loud cheer comes up from the crowd. Apparently Dixie is holding a copy of the agreement between all parties concerned. Ms. Carter is seething. She points a finger at Frank and accuses of him of orchestrating this "powerplay" behind her back. Dixie tells Frank that he'll hear from her lawyers.
Here comes Joseph Park Esq. to the ring now. Spud tries to get in his way and gets bowled over by the big galoot. Park straightens his eye glasses and presents his business card to Dixie. "I already know who you are you big idiot ! You work for me, remember ??" Joseph is a little rattled by Dixie's temper and wipes at his brow while Frank tries to settle him down. Park is still flustered and stammering but tells Dixie that he represented Mr. Coutinho during the negotiations and assures her that all the paperwork is legal and binding. "You're both in trouble !!" Carter warns before storming out of the ring. Spud scurries after her while Frank continues to calm down the blubbering Park.
1. Robbie E (w/ BroMan's tag team partner "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jesse Godderz) got a rare victory over Sam Shaw to kick things off. Although he didn't actually interfere per se, Godderz presence at ringside was enough of a distraction to keep Shaw off his game. Robbie E capitalized with the Shore Thing (Hangman's Neckbreaker) to pin his preoccupied opponent at 4:30.
2. Frank Coutinho himself did the honors of introducing the participants in tonight's Knockouts Match. Veda Scott made a successful TNA debut with a victory over Rosita after a little unexpected help from Anarquia. The Mexican America stablemate reached into the ring and inadvertently tripped Rosita causing her to stumble right into Veda's Crucifux DDT for the three count at 5:57. After the bout, Knockout's ref O.D.B. offered Frank a swig friom her flask to which Mr. Coutinho politely declined.
3. Chris Sabin over Doug Williams in an exciting X Division match at 7:25. The turning point of this bout came when Williams missed a high risk Bombs Away leap off the top rope. The Brit was greeted by a Springboard Reverse Tornado DDT from Sabin just as he was getting back to his feet and laid out for the winning pinfall. After the match, Alex Shelley, whose been out of action nursing an injury, entered the ring to congratulate Sabin and asked him if he wanted to consider reforming their Motor City Machine Guns tag team. Sabin pondered for a moment, kicked Shelley in the gut and then flattened him with the All Hail Sabin (Sit Out Piledriver). "There's your answer, Alex," Sabin laughed as he smugly walked back up the aisle to the dressing room.
4. The dysfunctional team of Austin Aries and "The it Factor" Bobby Roode managed to hold it together long enough to defeat Max & Jeremy Buck. Roode and Aries came to blows twice in this match but the Young Bucks were unable to cash in on their opponents' inflated egos. Max caught a faceful of boot on Aries' IED (Cornered Drop Kick) and was pinned by Roode's Payoff (Fisherman's Cradle Suplex) at 7:47 after "The It Factor" tagged himself back into the match much to Aries' surprise and anger.
5. "Olympic Gold Medalist" Kurt Angle defeated DOC of Aces & Eights at 8:20. Although their club motto is "You Never Walk Alone", DOC was, in fact, left to his own devices against Kurt tonight and suffered the consequences. Without his band of thugs at ringside chomping at the bit to step in at the drop of a hat, the hulking brute DOC seemed much less formidable. Angle overcame his opponent's size and weight advantage and went on to victory with the Olympic Slam.
6. TNA Title Match. Challenger "Cowboy" James Storm had the defending Champ A.J. Styles on the brink after connecting with the Closing Time (Double Knee Facebuster), but things took a dramatic turn for the worse thereafter. Still fuming from his loss to Storm in a "Number One Contender's Match" just a week ago, Magnus came down to ringside with ECIII to stir up some trouble for the Cowboy. It didn't take long for a confrontation to develop between the two rivals. Styles took full advantage of the distraction with a back flipping Pele Kick to the preoccupied Storm's noggin to gain the winning pinfall at 11:15. Your winner and still TNA Champion: "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles.

1. Creepy Samuel Shaw, who has a rather unhealthy obsession with Christy Hemme, was not pleased to discover that his beloved Ms. Hemme had, in fact, asked Jeremy Borash to take her place as Ring Announcer once she learned that Shaw would be on tonight's card. Shaw took out his fury on his opponent and fellow "Gut Check" winner Alex Silva. An overhead Belly to Belly Suplex dazed Silva long enough for Shaw to clamp on the Kata Gatame (Arm Triangle Choke) for the submission victory at 3:55.
2. Lei'd Tapa debuted with a win over former Knockouts' Referee-turned-wrestler Taryn Terrell. Tapa, who is the niece of Konga the Barbarian, used her height and weight advantage to full effect against her opponent and even employed her famous uncle's signature Big Boot off the ropes to stun Terrell. Tapa then connected with a Fireman's Carry Cutter to put Taryn away for the three count at 5:16.
3. In a pre-match pep talk, TNA President Dixie Carter reminded her spoiled nephew EC3 (Ethan Carter III) that he is a "Carter" and that he has a responsibility to uphold the family name. As a bit of an insurance policy, Dixie sent her little toadie Rockstar Spud down to ringside to "make sure things went well" in EC3's match against Jay Bradley. Spud's presence hardly seemed necessary as Carter was in control from the opening bell. Bradley was leveled by a Flying Clothesline and then received a Missile Drop Kick from the top rope as soon as he had gotten back to his feet. EC3 then applied his Heel Hook leg lock for the submission at 4:49.
4. The bout between Rockstar Spud and Alex Shelley was officially declared a "No Contest" by Referee Jamie Tucker when Chris Sabin ran in and attacked his former friend and Motor City Machine Guns tag team partner during the ring introductions. Spud was very happy to see Shelley laid out with the All Hail Sabin (Sit Out Piledriver) until he received one himself. Sabin left both men laying in the the ring as he returned backstage to a loud chorus of "Boos".
5. The American Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards) took advantage of some miscommunication by their opponents to defeat Ink, Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal) at 8:47. Richards managed to side step a Running Spear from Jesse Neal leaving Shannon Moore to take the full force of the blow. Neal was then deposited over the top rope allowing Edwards to land a Double Stomp to Moore's back followed by another Double Foot Stomp from Richards off the top rope to gain the three count.
6. X Division Champion Samoa Joe over challenger Austin Aries by DQ at 12:33. No one quite knew what to expect when "The It Factor" Bobby Roode came down to ringside during this hotly contested title match. Although they are a successful tag team, Roode and Aries don't get along and often battle with one another just as much as they do with their opponents. Sensing an opportunity to interject himself into the proceedings, the "It Factor" entered the ring after Referee Brian Hebner had been toppled to the canvas and planted Joe with the Roode Bomb (Fireman's Carry Hangman Neckbreaker). Despite his bump to the mat, Hebner saw Roode's dirty deed and called for the bell. The exasperated Aries threw up his arms in disgust as Roode tried to explain to him how he was "helping" the situation. Aries would hear none of it and stormed out of the ring. Samoa Joe retains the X Division Title.

1. Bobby Lashley debuted with a squash win over sleazy Joey Ryan in tonight's opening bout. The swarmy Ryan did himself no favors by calling his opponent "a MMA reject and failure". Lashley seemed to take a great deal of pleasure in punishing Joey for his comments with a vicious Clothesline followed by a Spinebuster off the ropes. The dazed Ryan was just getting back to his feet when he was met by a Spear from Lashley for the three count at 3:43.
2. TNA President Dixie Carter's contingent of spoiled nephew EC3 (Ethan Carter III) and Rockstar Spud defeated the Young Bucks in dubious fashion at 6:14. Jeremy Buck appeared to have Spud pinned with a 450 Splash when Dixie Carter inexpilicably halted Referee Bruce Gray's pin count to announce that Magnus was signing autographs in the lobby. Jeremy vociferously protested Dixie's actions to Gray and was caught in a Schoolboy Roll Up from behind by Spud for the pinfall.
3. Velvet Skye over Amber O'Neal at 5:27. Amber's TNA debut was spoiled by some rather bias officiating courtesy of Special Guest Referee Angelina Love. It was clear that Love's "Beautiful People" roots ran deep as she catered to Velvet thoughout this contest. A would be backslide win for Amber was negated by a painfully slow pin count from Angelina. In contrast, the cadence magically sped up after Skye connected with her In Yo' Face (Sitout Double Underhook Facebuster) for the winning pin on O'Neal.
Backstage Segment
Knockouts' Talent Relations Director Frank Coutinho is beside himself after the outcome of the Knockouts' bout. Frank is somewhat of a liaison between the Shimmer, ROH and TNA federations in bringing new talent to the Knockouts' Division and is appalled that Angelina Love was allowed to officiate given her obvious partiality toward Velvet Skye. Mr. Coutinho is on the phone to Dixie Carter and is impatiently "on hold" waiting for her to pick up the call. He is about to bite into a cannoli when a screaching, unsettling cackle from behind makes him drop the pastry on the ground. Frank cautiously peers around to find Willow standing behind him. The sight of Jeff Hardy's kooky, creepy, alternate persona nearly makes him jump out of his shoes.
Willow: "Politics ! Agendas ! Side deals ! Partnerships ! Betrayals ! These are the evils of the world I know, Frank !!"
Frank: "What the.... ??"
Willow: "Willow is his own man... his own entity. I have no desire to chase these things !"
Frank: "Did you see that Angelina Love help Velvet win that Knockouts' match ? She has no business being a referee !"
Willow: "You have your issues. Angelina has her issues. None of these issues involve Willow !"
Frank: "You're missing a few cards from your deck, Hardy."
Willow: "Why try to understand when you can embrace the confusion instead, Frank ?"
Frank: "Get some help."
Willow cackles again, twirls his black and white umbrella, and walks away accidentally stepping on the cannoli in the process.
4. "Showtime" Eric Young (w/ Mrs. Young O.D.B.) had signed to face Joseph Park Esq. but what he got instead was "The Monster" Abyss (w/ "Girlfriend" Janice). Young tried to reason with the schitzophrenic Park in the hopes of reaching his intellectual side but it was all for naught. Park was in full "Abyss" mode and immediately flattened Eric with a Black Hole (Side) Slam followed by the Shock Treatment (Sit Out Backbreaker Rack Drop). Rather than go for a cover, Abyss bailed out of the ring instead and fetched Janice (a bat full of nails). Fortunately for Eric, O.D.B. was able to pull him out of the ring in the nick of time before Abyss could "introduce" him to Janice. Referee Brian Stiffler called for the bell at 4:02 and awarded the match to Young via disqualification.
5. Mr. Anderson had a rather messy parting of ways with Aces & Eights a while back and has been trying to pick them off one-by-one ever since. Tonight he made good on his opportunity against Knux. As usual, members of Aces & Eights made their presence felt at ringside in the form of TNA Tag Team Champions Wes Brisco and Garett Bischoff, however an errant biker chain smash from Bischoff turned the entire complexion of the match. The dazed Knux was finished off by Anderson shortly after. Your winner with the Mic Check (Reverse STO) at 7:44: Missssstaaaaaa Annnnndersonnnnah !
6. MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter) over "The It Factor" Bobby Roode at 11:15. The dysfunction between egomaniacs Austin Aries and Bobby Roode reared its ugly head once more in this evening's Main Event. The It Factor was in the process of lifting MVP for a possible Roode Bomb (Fireman's Carry Hangman Neckbreaker) when Aries climbed up onto the apron and "accidentally" bumped them to the mat. Slick tripped Owen with his walking stick while Hercules distracted Referee John Benello. Roma then pounced on the prone Hart with a leaping Splash off the top rope for the winning pinfall.
4. "El Matador" Tito Santana and Papa Shango were both DQ'd at 8:40 after Referee Mike Chioda lost all control of the match. After the bout, the lights at the Louisville Gardens suddenly went out as Shango conjured up a voodoo spell on Santana. When power was restored, El Matador was found laid out on the canvas covered in the mysterious black goo.
5. Tag Team Tournament Match. Demolition (Ax & Smash w/ the devious Mr. Fuji) eliminated Classy Freddie Blassie's Super Powers (Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff) by DQ at 8:22. The Iron Sheik was admonished by Referee John Benello for loading the pointy toe on his boot (by tapping it several times on the canvas : ) and tossed Benello out of the ring to draw the disqualification.
6. Intercontinental Tournament Match. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka ousted "The Model" Rick Martel from the tournament by pinning him at 14:30. Martel removed the padding from a corner turnbuckle but had his own head rammed into the exposed steel by Snuka to set up the pin.
7. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper pinned King Kong Bundy (w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) after Piper avoided a Splash off the 2nd rope at 14:13.

2. "Outlaw" Ron Bass over "Superfly" Sivi Afi at 7:36. An upset seemed to be in the making as Afi took the fight to the "Outlaw", but Bass resorted to a Low Blow to turn the tables and score the tainted pinfall.
3. "The Birdman" Koko B. Ware defeated referee-turned-wrestler "Dangerous" Danny Davis (w/ Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart) by DQ at 9:28. Koko appeared to have the match won after landing the Ghostbuster (Brainbuster) on Davis. Jimmy Hart thought so as well. Hart pulled Referee John Benello out of the ring as the ref was counting the pin on Davis to draw the disqualification.
4. "Canadian Strongman" Dino Bravo (w/ "Luscious" Johnny V) over Outback Jack at 8:45. Bravo used a pre-match sneak attack to gain the upper hand and pinned the big Aussie with a Back Suplex.
5. Tag Team Tournament Match. Jimmy Hart's Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) eliminated the British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & the Dynamite Kid w/ mascot Matilda) at 11:33. Neidhart pinned the Dynamite Kid after a Jimmy Hart megaphone smash from behind while Referee John Benello was sending Davey Boy back to his corner.
6. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake defeated "The Natural" Butch Reed (w/ "The Doctor of Style" Slick) by Count Out at 13:55. Reed missed a charge at the Barber during OOR action and crashed into a cameraman. "The Natural" became entangled in the cords and cables as Referee Joey Marella put the ten count on him. After the bout, Brutus attempted to trim his opponent's "unnaturally" blonde locks with his barber's shears but Reed was able to escape to the safety of the locker room.
7. Intercontinental Tournament Match. "Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich eliminated "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig (w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) with a Flying Cross Body Press at 12:14 to advance in the tournament.

The big Hillbilly grabbed his horseshoe back and cleaned house of both Zeus and Heenan with it. Benello came to and disqualified Jim when he saw the Hillbilly holding the horseshoe.
4. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (w/ "Luscious" Johnny V.) over the Junk Yard Dog by Count Out at 9:33. JYD traded punches with Johnny V. on the floor but lost track of Referee Dave Hebner's ten count in the brawl.
5. "King" Harley Race (w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) pinned Haku with a handful of tights at 11:13 after crowning him with his scepter while Heenan distracted Referee John Benello. Benello turned around just in time to make the three count.
6. Tag Team Tournament Finals. Demolition (Ax & Smash w/ the "Devious" Mr. Fuji) beat Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart's Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hitman" Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) at 14:33. Bret was conferring with the Anvil in his corner when Ax gave the duo a mighty Noggin Knocker. Ax then rolled up the staggering Hitman for the winning pinfall. Demolition wins the WWF Tag Team Titles !
7. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) by DQ at 14:55. Virgil was caught red-handed bashing Piper in the head with the Million Dollar Belt. Referee Dave Hebner immediately signaled for the bell.

4. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis (w/ Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart) and Uncle Elmer (w/ Hillbilly Jim) were both counted out by Dick Woehrle as they slugged it out on the floor at 10:57.
5. Power & Glory (Hercules Hernandez & Paul Roma w/ Slick) defeated the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (Jacques & Raymond) at 8:43. Slick tripped Raymond with his walking stick as the Rougeau Brother was bounding off the ropes. Roma then pounced on his fallen opponent with a Diving Splash off the top rope for the winning pinfall.
6. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper sent Virgil to la la land with a Sleeper Hold at 11:55. After the bout, "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase ran into the ring and blindsided Piper with the Million Dollar Belt. Dibiase then stuffed a couple of c-notes into the KO'd Piper's mouth before helping Virgil to the back.
7. Intercontinental Tournament Match. The Honkytonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart & Peggy Sue) eliminated Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka at 14:00. Peggy Sue was an even bigger nuisance at ringside than Jimmy Hart. Snuka grabbed her by the hair and pulled the bobby soxer up to the apron only to be rolled up from behind by the Honkytonk Man in the process for the pin.

Referee Jerry Usher caught Cousin Luke jabbing Brett in the gut with the New Zealand flag. Usher signaled for the bell and immediately bailed from the ring as Buzz cleaned house of the Sheepherders with his dog chain.
6. Savannah Jack defeated the Missing Link (w/ Dark Journey) at 11:39. Dark Journey tried to spray perfume into Savannah Jack's eyes but inadvertently got the Link instead. Savannah then cradled his blinded opponent for the pinfall.
7. In the Main Event, Ted Dibiase beat "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala (w/ handler Friday & General Skandor Akbar) at 13:55. Dibiase pinned Kamala after lifting a knee on the Ugandan Giant's Splash attempt.

5. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan (w/ 2 x 4) over "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert (w/ Missy Hyatt) at 9:07. Eddie was caught in a Schoolboy Roll Up from behind by Duggan as he was reaching for Hacksaw's 2 x 4 in the corner.

3. Devastation Incorporated's Bad Leroy Brown (w/ General Skandor Akbar) pinned the Angel of Death (w/ Sunshine) at 7:30. Akbar bashed the Angel in the head with Ring Announcer's Reeser Bowden's microphone while Sunshine was complaining to Referee Tommy Gilbert about Brown's tactics. Gilbert turned around to find Brown covering the Angel and counted the pin.
4. Savannah Jack defeated "Timekeeper" Mike George at 8:51 after reversing a smash with George's clock and then finishing off his woozy opponent with the Superkick.
5. The Kiwi Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Cousin Luke Williams w/ Sir Jonathan Boyd and New Zealand Flag) beat Los Guerreros (Chavo & Mando Guerrero) at 9:35. The Sheepherders combined for a Double Team Gutbuster on Chavo behind Referee Carl Fergie's back while Fergie was sending Mando back to his corner. Fergie turned around to find Miller covering Chavo and made the three count.
6. Ted Dibiase over "Fabulous Freebird" Michael P.S. Hayes (w/ fellow Freebird Buddy Jack Roberts) by Count Out at 9:36. As the action spilled out onto the floor, Dibiase gave the two Freebirds a mighty Noggin Knocker OOR. Hayes could not shake out the cowebs in time to make Referee Tommy Gilbert's ten count.
7. "Dirty" Dick Murdoch (w/ General Skandor Akbar) defeated "Gentleman" Chris Adams (w/ Sunshine) at 12:22. Akbar slipped a hidden foreign object into Murdoch's hand while "Dirty" Dick was feigning an injury in the corner. Murdoch spun around and decked Adams with a loaded punch before finishing him off with his Delayed Brainbuster.

George walks around his opponent Jeff "Rattlesnake" Raitz, studies him closely and then says "3 Minutes". He points at Raitz and says, "That's how long it will take me to beat that man right there... 3 minutes. Write it down." Raitz is insulted and has to be restrained by Referee Ronnie West while George casually removes his ring jacket. Despite his arrogance, Mike George made good on his prediction with (19 seconds to spare) by pinning Raitz with a Hangman's Neckbreaker at 2:41.
2. Steve "Dr. Death" Williams mauled Gustavo Mendoza before ending things with the Oklahoma Stampede (Running Powerslam) at 2:44. Williams was mobbed by youngsters seeking his autograph as he exited the ring.
3. "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala (w/ Handler Friday & General Skandor Akbar) defeated "The Missouri Tiger" Jeff Gaylord at 6:48. Kamala with lots of big overhand chops, a reverse chop to the throat off the ropes, a couple of slaps to his belly and a huge Splash onto Gaylord's back. Friday had to instruct the Ugandan Giant to roll his opponent over onto his back to make the pin.
4. "Fabulous Freebird" Buddy Jack Roberts (w/ fellow Freebird Michael P.S. Hayes) over Brett Sawyer (w/ brother "Mad Dog" Buzz) at 7:59. A see-saw contest that swung in Roberts' favor after a Michael Hayes' cheap shot. Roberts lands the Bulldog to score the pinfall.
5. UWF TV Title Match. The Champion, "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel (w/ The First Lady of Professional Wrestling Missy Hyatt) turned back the challenge of "Chief" Jules Strongbow at 8:39. Landel pulled a hidden foreign object from his tights and busted Strongbow open with a loaded punch to the forehead. Referee Edward Faulk stopped the bout due to blood.
6. "Fabulous Freebird" Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy (w/ Michael P.S. Hayes) pinned Lord Humongous (w/ Downtown Bruno) at 10:32. Humongous reversed a corner whip on Gordy and charged in after him. Showing amazing agility for a big man, Gordy hopped up to the 2nd rope and caught Humongous in a Sunset Flip to win the match.
7. Hyatt & Hot Stuff International (Sting & "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert w/ Missy Hyatt) defeated the Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner) at 7:40. Chaos with all four men battling in the ring and Referee Edward Faulk desperately trying to restore order. Gilbert and Sting are whipped into each other from opposite corners. A worried Missy Hyatt is up on the apron with her loaded Gucci handbag. Brad Armstrong has her by the hair but Faulk sends him back to his corner. Eddie Gilbert sneaks into the ring and gives Hoerner the Hot Shot. Gilbert quickly rolls out as a woozy and battered Sting crawls over to make the pin.

1. "Fabulous" Frank Monte and "Flying" Fred Curry kicked things off in a spirited opening bout. Monte was constantly frustrated by his opponent's agility as Flying Fred managed to cartwheel and somersault his way out of trouble whenever the bleached blonde heel gained the upper hand. The wily Monte got the last laugh, however, when he feigned an injury in the corner and back dropped a charging Curry over the top rope and to the floor below. Fred took a bad spill and was counted out by Dusty Feldbaumer at 5:55.
2. "Hollywood Fashion Plate" Classy Freddie Blassie accompanied "big, raw-boned" (as McMahon called him) Swede Hansen to the ring to take on Davey O'Hannon. The veteran from Slaughter Creek, NC dominated the action from start to finish and tortured O'Hannon with a prolonged neck twist on the mat while rearranging Davey's dental work. When Hansen was finally satisfied with the punishment that he dished out, he ended things with a Piledriver at 4:49.
3. Luke Graham was peppered with chants of "Crazy Luke ! Crazy Luke !" by the raucous fans of South Yarmouth as he stepped between the ropes to face Rene Goulet. Luke was so distraught that his manager the Grand Wizard of Wrestling had to cover Graham's ears to console his sensitive stable hand. Of course this only served to rile the crowd all the more until Graham suddenly bolted toward Goulet and unloaded with a flurry of punches. The Frenchman took it on the chin for awhile but gamely fought back after reversing a head smash to the turnbuckle. Rene's attack was abruptly short-circuited by a jab to the throat with Crazy Luke's controversial taped thumb. The illegal tactic put Goulet down for the three count at 6:09.
4. Hot on the heels of the WWWF Tag Team Champion Valiant Brothers for a title shot, the tandem of Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko bolstered their place in the rankings by defeating the team of "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe & "Dynamite" Jack Evans at 7:48. The Pretty Boy was in the process of hoisting Zbyszko up for a Body Slam when Tony Garea ran in with a Drop Kick that landed his partner on top of Sharpe for the winning pinfall.
5. Two old foes went at it as Baron Scicluna took on Pawhuska, Oklahoma's popular Chief Jay Strongbow. The Baron was up to his usual tricks and rule breaking tactics tonight. Scicluna continuously went to his tights for a hidden foreign object but was unable to put the Chief away. Inspired by the crowd's support, Strongbow went on the warpath and erupted with a series of Tomahawk Chops and Running Knee Lifts to stun the Baron. Scicluna tried to mount a comeback of his own, but his Back Body Drop attempt was countered into a Sunset Flip by Strongbow for the three count at 8:13.
6. Captain Louis Albano paced about the ring in his open Hawaiian shirt puffing away on a cigar while his charge Dick "The Bulldog" Brower prepared himself to face Princeton, Minnesota's Bob Backlund in the Main Event. This bout featured a stark contrast in styles with Backlund's scientific prowess overcoming the dirty brawling and cheating of the Bulldog in the final outcome. Brower was pinned by Backlund's patented Delayed Atomic Spinebuster at 11:18.

1. S.D. "Special Delivery" Jones fell behind early after being jumped during his ring entrance by opponent Tank Patton. Jones mounted a spirited comeback, but hesitated too long on a corner charge and ran full steam into the raised knee of Patton. Tank followed up with a Big Splash to gain the three count at 6:35.
2. The team of the Fabulous Moolah & Leilani Kai emerged victorious over Susan Green & Vicki Williams in a ladies tag match. Kai was jawing with some fans at ringside when she was abruptly cradled in a Small Package by Susan Green, however Referee Gilberto Roman's attention was diverted toward the crafty Moolah who insisted that Williams had interfered. The official immediately went over to Williams' corner to issue a warning which allowed Moolah to sneak in and reverse the cradle on Green. Roman finally returned his attention to the match and counted the pin when he found Leilani on top of Green. The time of the fall was 8:47.
3. "The Man of a Thousand Masks" Mil Mascaras made a spectacular entrance which included removing his mask (he had another one on beneath that one, of course : ) and throwing it to a lucky youngster in the crowd. Once the bell rang to start the action, Mascaras soon discovered that his opponent "The Unpredictable" Johnny Rodz would be quite a challenge. The cat-quick Rodz sprang off the ropes again and again to keep the popular masked man off balance and even unwound some tape from his wrist to use during a prolonged choke which he cleverly hid from Referee Dick Woehrle’s view. Once back to his feet, Mascaras leap-frogged over a Back Body Drop attempt and caught Rodz on the rebound with a Flying Tackle to score the pinfall at 5:07.
4. Dominic Denucci & Dino Bravo defeated the tandem of Stan “The Man” Stasiak & Baron Scicluna at 9:24. Bravo and Denucci's slight edge in points was offset somewhat by Scicluna's continuous use of a hidden foreign object throughout the contest. Ironically, it would be that same object that would come back to haunt the heels in the end. Scicluna accidentally knocked Stasiak off the apron with a stray loaded punch and was then caught from behind in a Backslide by Bravo for the three count.
5. "High Chief" Peter Maivia didn't quite know what to make of his opponent the unorthodox George "The Animal" Steele in the Main Event. The Animal spent a good deal of time gnawing open a turnbuckle pad before raking Maivia's face with the stuffing. The Samoan bailed from the ring to regroup with Steele following right behind him. The two men battled it out on the floor until the Animal inexplicably chased Ring Announcer Buddy Wagner all the way back to the locker room.
